Prayer of the Faithful
Priest: Out of love for the world, God sent Jesus to save it and the HolySpirit to sanctify it. We call to mind our needs, trusting in God’s infiniteTrinitarian love.
Lector: For the Church, that we may strive to be a visible sign of God’s loveand mercy in the world today, caring for those most in need of both, let uspray to the Lord.
That all nations may strive for harmonious relationships with their neigh-bors, working for peace and understanding, let us pray to the Lord.
That all families may look to the mutual love of the Holy Trinity as a model, for loving and forgiving each other, let us pray to the Lord.
For parents, teachers, catechists, and all those who help us understand andappreciate God’s love for us, let us pray to the Lord.
For those who are suffering from loss of work and those living in poverty, that they may not be destitute, but have all they need through the compas-sion of others and God’s grace, let us pray to the Lord.
For protection and strength for all those who serve in our armed forces, in ourpolice and fire companies, our hospitals and our ambulance companies, andalso for their families and loved ones, let us pray to the Lord.
We Pray for: The People of St. Paul’s Parishfor whom this Mass is offered, let us pray to the Lord. For all the prayers that we hold in the silence of our hearts; for all our inten-tions spoken and unspoken………………… let us pray to the Lord.Priest: Triune God, you have created us in your own image, have redeemedus when we turned away from you, and have sanctified us throughout ourlives. Increase our worthiness of your love and fidelity, and grant theprayers we offer today through your Son, Jesus Christ, and the power of theHoly Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
