• They’re dad was an emperor. His name was Walendianus.

• They’re father agreed and sent with them soldiers and servants to guard them.

• But the two brothers sent back the soldiers and monks so that they could stay with an old monk.

• They asked the monk to make them monks.• But the monk was afraid of their father so told

them to go to St. Macarius.

• While the two brothers were in Nicene they were healing sick people and taking care of them.• They also learned how to make

mother and sisters to see them.

• After their family left, the two brothers went to St. Macarius in the desert.• On their way God changed salty water into

sweet water for them to drink.• While they were sleeping God sent a

power that took them to St. Macarius.

• St. Macarius taught them how to paint palm leaves and to live with the little amount of money they make.• They stayed in the desert of Egypt for 3

years before St. Macarius cane to visit again.

them praying at night with a ray of light coming out of their mouth to heaven an angel with a sword of fire was protecting them.

• St Macarius was so amazed!• The next morning

he put on them the clothes of monks.

• After many years St. Maximus became sick and the angels and saints took him to heaven.• Three days later, St. Domatius also went to heaven.• They both had beautiful crowns on their heads in

heaven.
