SOLEMNITY FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION OF MOTHER MARY August 14th -- 7pm Vigil Mass & August 15th – 9:00am Mass Tuesday, August 14th, we will have a Vigil Mass for the Assumption of
Mother Mary at 7:00pm, and the Morning Mass, Wednesday, August
15th, at 9:00am.
The Solemnity Feast of the Assumption of Mary is the day of obligation
to our Catholic Faith. All the faithful are encouraged to participate and
attend the liturgy on these days.
Our wonderful Parish is named after the holy name of Mary, the Mysti-
cal Rose of God or the fragrance of the heavenly realm of God. Mother
Mary is interceding, praying, and the protector of Her children and we
are embraced under her mantle of love!
August is the month of Mother Mary, and I would encourage each and
every one of our Parish families to pray the Rosary every day and reflect
on God’s call in your life. Are you living out your call as an evangelizer
and as a joyful missionary disciple of Christ in your family, community,
and in the world today?
No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draw him, and I will raise him on the last day, (John 6:41-51). In today’s holy Gospel according to John, we hear from the Galileans,
the religious authorities, “the Jews,” rejected eternal life in the first place.
They weighted matters to merely human standards and human values
instead of listening attentively to Jesus’ message. They knew Jesus up-
bringing as just as a carpenter’s son, and they knew of His humble begin-
nings in Nazareth.
How could a simple and unknown tradesman possibly be God’s messen-
ger? The legitimate question is do we reject God’s message because we
do not care for the messenger? The authorities disregarded the message
because of Gods eloquent message came by means of the Galilean car-
penter.
Listening to God consists of silence. To hear God in the silence we will
hear Him in our hearts—beyond the words, and changing our attitude or
the conversion of the heart in gratitude to God!
Pray to the Holy Spirit to “draw” you closer to the heart of God. Open up
your heart and be quiet for He is speaking to you in the “silence.” God
bless you and have a wonderful week!
Enjoy the Armada Fair and SERVE with a SMILE at our Food Booth!
See you there.
Have a wonderful week!

CSA Sacred Heart Major Seminary/Institute for Ministry /
Seminario Mayor Sacred Heart/Instituto para el
Ministerio
Many students are registering for classes at Sacred Heart Major
Seminary this month, thanks to Parish Empowerment Fund
scholarships funded by gifts to the Catholic Services Appeal.
Our major seminary not only prepares men for ordination to the
priesthood and the permanent diaconate, it offers degree and
certificate programs for lay women and men seeking to be “new
evangelists for the new millennium” at the Institute for Minis-
try. Through discernment and theological reflection, the insti-
tute guides and challenges commuter students to deepen their
commitment to spiritual growth, attend to their call, and identi-
fy their gifts for service in the Church.
For more information about Sacred Heart Major Seminary or
the Institute for Ministry, please go to www.shms.edu. For
more information about CSA-funded ministries, programs, and
services, please go to www.aod.org.

entire Bible. Thursday evening classes will meet from Sep-
tember to May and will study the entire Bible in four years.
To learn more about this faith-filled study of Sacred Scrip-
ture, you are invited to attend an Information Night Holy
