NOTES FROM PAUL
In today’s Gospel we get the famous passage where Jesus tells Thomas that he is “the way and the truth and
the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” While meditating on that this week, it struck me that if
Jesus is the door to the Father, that for many of us our mothers are the garden path to that door. Some of these
garden paths may have had more flowers, some more thorns, but that we each had a person, (or multiple people)
who lead us to Jesus and the whole of the Trinity.
On this Mother’s Day weekend, I would like to remember all of those who have been this “path” for us, whether
or not they are our biological mothers, or just as importantly our mothers in spirit, and also those of you who are
presently living out that role for people of all ages today. May our greatest Spiritual Mother, the Blessed Virgin,
intercede on your behalf today, and bless you.
God Bless you, Paul Zbytowski

YOUTH MINISTRY NEWS
For the past seven weeks every Sunday night, our teens have joined OVER TEN THOUSAND other young people
from across the country for an online youth night. We played games together. Joined in worship together. Learned
from a brilliant Catholic speaker. And prayed together. This Sunday, we’re doing it again. New speaker. New
worship leader. This week our guest speaker is Jason Evert. Jason Evert is a Catholic author and chastity speaker.
He founded Totus Tuus Press and Chastity Project, an organization that promotes chastity primarily to high school
and college students. We would normally only have the opportunity to hear him at a large scale youth conference
such as NCYC. Same time. Like last week, the broadcast starts at 8:00 p.m. eastern, but plan to have to log in a
few minutes early to make sure you are on when it starts. This fast paced event is only 1 hour! They can access the
event on any device with a web browser – but the faster the connection, the better. And if you’re not busy, parents
are invited to watch along with them – it’s worth it!
Join us at PROJECTYM.COM/WATCH. Share the link with a friend or invite your siblings to join in as well.
P.S. Our St. Mary, Cause of Our Joy High School Youth Group teens are also meeting on Monday evenings at 7:30
p.m. via a private zoom meeting to keep us all connected. We pray and talk together. Would you like to join us? Let
me know. Communications are sent out via flocknote weekly with a new link to our meeting.

Queen’s Quotes from Religious Formation
Greetings and Salutations, Happy Mother’s Day!
Today is the fifth Sunday of Easter. We hear in the Gospel that Jesus told his disciples “Do not let your hearts be
troubled”. Let these words echo to all of us in these uncharted times. We must use this time to be aware of God the
Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in our midst. This week enjoy the SONshine and remember to pray seven
minutes a day. Archbishop Vigneron has encouraged us to say a Memorare once a day until we can gather together
again to celebrate Mass.
THE MEMORARE
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored
thy help or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, we fly unto thee O Virgin of virgins,
our Mother. To thee do we come. Before thee we stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise
not our petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer us. Amen.
Just for Laughs… What dog loves to take bubble baths?,,,Shampoodle. Why are dogs like phones?...Because they
have collar ID’s! Ahhhhhhh hahahaha LOL!
Peace and Prayers, Sabrina Queen
A MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR
Dear Sisters and Brothers, I would like to thank those of you who are continuing to send donations to the parish.
However, I know that in these difficult times many of you may be experiencing financial hardship. Taking care of
your family should always come first. We are very grateful and appreciate all of the support that you are able to
provide.
God Bless and Stay Safe! Fr. Shafique Masih
