We are a branch of the GO Team but definitely not limited to those who are part of the GO Team. Our team is anyone who wants to be involved in helping others in any way possible. Part of our focus is the residents at Fox Trail, a home for seniors who require assistance in day to day living. We have served meals a couple of times this year, taken over special treats and cards for them, had visitations during the week with individuals, and held worship time with them to include Communion the first three Sundays and the fifth Sunday of each month. Our main focus is being available for members of our church family when needed whether it be a visit in the hospital or a phone call. Holly Cooke diligently sends cards to members of our church family on special occasions as part of showing love and care for them. One could say the care extends beyond the immediate community of St. Mark's because care is shown to those in different communities by several people from St. Mark's, sharing the love of God. Anyone who wants to be considered a part of the team is welcome to participate whenever we have something requiring extra TLC. If anyone knows someone who needs a visit or other attention, feel free to contact Lucy Brewer or Pam Bryan. May God be with each and every person during the year 2020. In Christ, Lucy Brewer

January: So they went out and proclaimed that people should change their hearts and lives. (Mark 6:12)
December was a Beautiful Month! The Church was filled with gorgeous decorations. Children’s church was thrilled to decorate the Christmas tree in the church narthex. Our children also had great fun making Christmas cards for Fox Trail. We also spent time getting ready for the Church play. Brody and Pat played their parts as Donkeys very well. Brody says, “Never try to play pin the tail on the donkey with me in the room.” January 5th our story is entitled: Jesus is Baptized (Mark 1:9-11) January 12th our story is entitled: Jesus Brings Good News (Luke4:14-30) January 19th our story is entitled: Jesus Calls Levi (Luke 5: 27-32) January 26th our story is entitled: Jesus Sends the Disciples (Mark 6:7-13)
Children’s church will continue the study of each story with arts and crafts, plays, and games. Ms. Susie will be leading Children’s Church.

GO TEAM NEWS
Happy New Year from the Go Team! I hope you had a blessed Christmas
with your family and friends. We are now looking forward to a great year of
ministry with the folks in our community. My personal challenge this year will
be for us to have a more “outward” focus. We have worked hard to reach
folks in our community and share Christ’s love with them. I have been
following the Ministry called “See all the People” with Rev. Junius B. Dotson,
General Secretary Discipleship Ministries, The United Methodist Church.
(https://www.seeallthepeople.org/) His focus is on discipleship and
evangelism. He has lots of good info on being in ministry in our communities.
He challenged his congregation to get outside of the box. Here is a list of
those things that you can think about!
· go outside and see all the people.
· intentionally introduced yourself to someone you do not know in the church
neighborhood
· have coffee, breakfast or lunch with a new non-church related friend.
· host an intentional activity that happened outside our doors that was open
and welcoming to non-church members.
· intentionally engage with a non-Christian in order to listen to his or her story
and share theirs.
· See if you can look at the world differently over the next three months
