Outreach Ministry
If you have a homebound family member or parishioner friend
who cannot make it to church, please call the parish office; we
can arrange to have cards sent to our homebound parishioners to
let them know we are thinking and praying for them, and we
can arrange for Mr. Moreira, our Pastoral Minister, a priest or
deacon to visit and bring communion. Please also let us know
of any parishioners who may be hospitalized or recovering from
surgery in a rehab facility and would like a visit from the parish.
November: Month of All Souls
We will remember all our faithful departed during all the Masses in November. All are welcome to inscribe the names of deceased loved ones in the Book of Remembrance, near the baptismal font. If you wish to memorialize a loved one with a donation, please use the All Souls Remembrance
Envelope at the entrances to the Church. You may place the envelope, with your loved one’s name, in the regular collection basket. Those names will be in repose near the baptismal font.

The Pastor’s Corner
I begin by acknowledging the very positive response to
the Mass Schedule announcement last weekend. It was
coincidental that fewer people attended the Noon Mass.
Instead of “Cooler and Warmer,” our motto could be, “Fewer
and Stronger!” Mr. Moreira is already preparing for our next
Confirmation class to be full engaged in the 10:30 Mass
schedule. He and the candidates did a great job at
Confirmation this past Monday.
The held last Friday as a major fund raiser for the
new playground. It was a great success. A BIG shout out to
Marya Baldwin, Catherine Lea, Jessica Parylak, and Elaine
Pennacchio, their committee members, donors, families,
parishioners, and friends who came out 170 strong for the
event. Their efforts raised $20K for a new playground in the
school yard. Their enthusiasm on behalf of our students is
extraordinary. Spread the good news about SMS. The
students receive a great Catholic education here at St.
Margaret’s.
The Annual Appeal to help our unfunded projects is
underway. You can return your gift via the collection or
mail. For those of you on Faith Direct, our easy electronic
giving program, there is a separate entry for the Annual
Collection on the web site. The goal remained the same as
last year, $78K. I have every confidence we’ll break that
goal.
Finally, the 10 AM Mass today is dedicated to our
parishioners who were buried from St. Margaret Church this
year. During this month of All Souls, we pray for all the
dead. On behalf of the entire Church and School
Community, may the Faithful departed through the mercy
of God rest in peace. Amen.
With gratitude and thanksgiving,
~ Monsignor Darcy
We honor Deacon John Needham today (Saturday,
Nov. 10) for his 20 years of diaconal ministry with us in
the parish. As I mentioned in a former column, Deacon
continues to be involved in many ministerial initiatives
in the parish. Please offer a prayer of thanksgiving for
his diaconal service among us. You can greet him
personally after the 5 PM Mass today, or send him your
