Saint Joseph Church Mission Statement
We, the people of Saint Joseph Church, by the grace of God, born again in the waters of Baptism, seek to create a
community where our mutual faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior, encourages us to continue growing as disciples. We believe that discipleship is a way of life. We strive to show
that we are committed disciples, eager to welcome the stranger, feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, and comfort the bereaved. Inspired by God’s word and nourished by the Eucharist, we pledge ourselves to active discipleship all for
God’s greater glory and honor.

You may notice as you sit in church today and clean and shiny it looks. We want to thank all the parishioners who worked so hard last Saturday and Monday to clean the church. We had about 20 volunteers each day who spent long hours dusting and cleaning the entire church. All the statues were cleaned as were the columns and other areas of the church. On Monday all the pews were washed, years of gum removed and they were stained. The will be polished in a few weeks. What a difference their hard work has made in our church. Thanks to all for their dedication and love for the church and parish. This afternoon there will be a Vesper Service and Presentation at St. Paul Lutheran Church on River Road in Teaneck at 4:00. Several Lutheran and Roman Catholic par-ishes are sponsoring 4 such gatherings over the next year as part of a Family Reunion around the Anniversary of the Refor-mation. That which Pope Francis is celebrating in Sweden this week we are celebrating here in our own area. If you are inter-ested more information is in the bulletin. If anyone is going to be alone this Thanksgiving sev-eral members of the parish will be having a parish Thanksgiv-ing Dinner at the Academy Cafeteria on Thanksgiving Day. Further details will be in the bulletin over the next few weeks. As we enter into the month of November where we remember the Souls of our family members and loved ones please be assured of the prayers of the parish as we remember them at our masses this month. May we always honor and pray for those who have gone before us. Peace, Fr. Tim
Paz, P. Tim
