ST. JOSEPH MISSION STATEMENT Since 1886 the rural Roman Catholic Community of St. Joseph Parish in Hayward, WI has gathered to acknowledge God’s many blessings here in the northwoods. We challenge ourselves to live out our baptismal call by embracing the gospel values: faith in the family, commitment to community, and reverence for all human life. We dedicate ourselves to the spiritual, educational and social needs of the people. Always striving to do better, we strengthen our Catholic faith by embracing our traditions, celebrating his love in public worship, and sharing that love with others in our daily living. From the Desk of……
Fr. Gerard
Dear parishioners, visitors, guests and benefactors— July seems to be moving along quite rapidly. Enjoy as much of the summer as you can. This week St. Joseph again hosts a blood drive on Thursday and Friday, July 27 and 28. In the past, the blood drives have been overwhelmingly positive. Your ongoing support has been greatly appreciated. They have been grateful for the hospitality and use of our facilities. What a great community effort. We are quickly approaching our Paul Todd concert. We want to pack our church. If you can help sell tickets, it would be greatly appreciated. This must-see event is a community effort. Your support is needed to make it a success. We received results back from the living rosary presenta-tion. It was an overwhelming success. Frank and Trudy were most impressed with your support for the living rosary. We had 220 families that signed up. Besides the local families, we also had 14 from Minnesota, 3 from Arizona, 10 from Illinois, 1 from New York, 1 from South Carolina, 1 from California, 4 from Texas and 1 from Maryland who signed up. Wow—what a great way to support one another in prayer. May God continue to bless you always. Remember to pray your decade. As ever—
Fr. Gerard Willger, Pastor St. Joseph & St. Ann "Cookies Please!" St. Joseph Parish will again welcome the American Red Cross Blood Drive on Thursday, July 27th and Friday, July 28th. St. Joseph not only offers the Red Cross our delightful, accommo-dating space in our church hall, but we bless everyone who donates blood with our homemade cookies! If you would like to participate in this "taste of St. Joe's", please bring your favor-ite cookies for us to serve our guests. Your cookie donations can be dropped off Thursday in the kitchen!
