From Fr. Kris
Dear brothers and sisters, I would like to greet you all very much and introduce myself.
My name is Fr. Krzysztof Pawlowski and I am from Poland.
Since the first of July I am the new administrator of our community, St. Jerome.
I replaced Fr. Scott Janysek, whom I am very grateful for everything he has done for our community through-out this time of his ministry here.
I would also like to thank you for accepting me into your family of families under the patronage of Saint Je-rome. God has a plan for each of us.
I would like to share a little about myself. After my or-dination, I worked in Poland for the first 5 years, then 8 years in Peru, and 4 years ago I came to San Antonio where I worked in the parish of St. Francis of Assisi. Today I am here with you and for that I am grateful to God.
I enjoy nature and the outdoors especially bicycling and hiking. I play piano and guitar (a little better at guitar than at the piano). Also, I enjoy European soccer.
I would like to hug you and shake the hand of each of you, but unfortunately this is not yet possible because the epidemic that continues around us.
However, I have a deep hope that with God's help we will soon meet everyone together close to the altar of Jesus Christ during the Mass. I pray for this every day and I entrust to you all in God's providence. Fr. Kris Pawlowski
De parte del Padre Kris
Queridos hermanos y hermanas,
Padre Kris

Our parish rectory recently un-derwent some renovations: We
have replaced the carpeting up-stairs and invested in new vinyl
plank flooring that should last for a very long time as well as replacing the mini
blinds throughout the house. The hot water heater was also replaced and new doors to the back yard will also be replaced.
We thank the Men's Club for their help and sup-
port in this project.
Since the bedroom furniture belonged to Fr. Scott, Burnell and Laura Gates generously donated a new set to be kept by the parish as well as new
countertops for the kitchen.
We would also like to thank the following ladies from the Altar Society for helping get the rectory
ready for Fr. Kris's arrival: Shirley Grahmann, Carol Hardy, Elaine Moczygemba, Bernice Pruski and Marilyn Pruski.

For all who have contracted coronavirus, we pray for care and healing. For those who are particularly
vulnerable, we pray for safety and protection. For all who experience fear or anxiety, we pray for peace of mind and spirit. For affected families who are facing difficult decisions between food on the table or public
safety, we pray for policies that recognize their plight. For those who do not have adequate health
insurance, we pray that no family will face financial burdens alone. For those who are afraid to access
care due to immigration status, we pray for recognition of the God-given dignity of all.
For our brothers and sisters around the world, we pray for shared solidarity. For public officials and decisionmakers, we pray for wisdom and guidance.
Father, during this time may your Church be a sign of hope, comfort and love to all. Grant peace. Grant comfort. Grant healing. Be with us, Lord. Amen.
We are working hard to provide a safe environment in order to worship together at all Masses. We have plenty of room for social distancing at every Mass and have the following measures in place: -All attendees must wear a face mask that covers the nose and mouth except those persons too young to wear a mask and/or anyone unable to remove the mask without assistance. -All attendees must sanitize their hands as they enter the church -There is only one entrance and after Mass parishioners are dismissed to allow for social distancing. -Fr. Kris puts on his mask and sanitizes his hands immediately before distributing communion. -Communion is only given in the hand. -Ushers sanitize the pews thoroughly after each Mass.
ATTENDANCE NUMBERS PER MASSES LAST WEEK
5PM—93; 8AM–49; 9:30AM—53; 11:00AM—59
A Note of Thanks
Fr. Maury Smith celebrated the 8 AM Mass on June 28, 2020. He wanted to share his gratitude
with our parish during this time:
“From the time I arrived to the time I left your plan for safety is excellent in every way. I especially liked the way you did communion. We used to do it that way at Saint Margaret Mary for anointing of the sick and Mass. I felt comfortable and safe at the Mass.
Prayed for each of you during the mass. Thank you for letting me serve you. PEACE & LOVE, Fr. Maury”
THANK YOU USHERS FOR YOUR HELP!
