NEWS & NOTES
Scripture Focus: It’s been 40 days! Today we hear the eyewitness account of Jesus being taken up in a cloud as he goes to sit at the right hand of his father. Before he leaves he asks the disciples to remember what he has said. In a few days you will be
baptized with the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised to send someone to help us follow his example and commands. In the Gospel of Mark, Jesus tells the disciples to go forth and tell every creature about God! Jesus said to wait for the Holy Spirit before they go out. It’s a good reminder that we should look for the inspiration of the Holy Spirit before we act. But you will receive power
when the holy Spirit comes upon you, and you
will be my witnesses . . . to the ends of the
earth. Miracles can happen when we work with the Lord. We should ask for help. The disciples could not have imagined what would happen on Pentecost when they were baptized by the Holy Spirit!
—CONFIRMATION SUNDAYS for Grades 7-9 about 2x a month from 5:00-8:00pm, 2 sessions for parents and 4 classes for Gr. 8-9 Sponsors.

CANTORS NEEDED
Have you considered how you could help the people of St. Gall in our sung worship at Mass? We are looking for men and women who could serve as cantors and/or choir members. Unsure about how often you would be available to serve or how much of a commitment you could make? Why not talk to our Director of Sacred Music, Ken Wagman about what is possible? (see him after Sunday morning Masses or email: [email protected])
All you need is a desire to learn more about the beauty of the Church’s sacred music tradition and a simple openness to put yourself at the service of our parish’s worship. The quality of our sung worship at St. Gall depends entirely on our people (that includes YOU!) stepping up and giving of yourself. Thank you for praying about it! Fr. DiTomo
