include the full name for the Mass intention, and include
your name and phone number. The office will be open only
on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:30 am to
2:30pm by appointment.

Weekday Masses are 9:00 a.m. a ticket from
Eventbrite is NOT required. These days will be on a
first come, first serve basis.
Our Sunday Mass Schedule has changed only during
this time of the COVID-19 Pandemic. The times are:
Saturday 5pm, Sunday 8:30am; 9:45am; 11:00am;
12:15pm. To attend any of weekend Masses, you need

Mass for the date and time you selected, please go
back into Eventbrite and cancel your ticket. This
will allow for others to attend the Mass.
You are required under the Durham Region By-law
and Cardinal Collins to wear a facemask inside the
church building. If you are ill, we ask that you stay
home.
Please arrive early, as there will be designated pews
for you and/or families to be seated by an Usher. Masses should last only 30 minutes. Holy Communion
will be distributed to the congregation at the end of each
Mass just before you leave. As you leave, there will be
an offertory donation box by the Baptismal Font into
which you may place your donations.

emailing the bulletin to the families who have an email address in
our parish tools database. If you are currently not receiving an
electronic copy of our bulletin and would like to, please email us
We thank parishioners for giving to the ShareLife appeal
thus far and for donating this weekend. If you were unable
to give today, you may give a ShareLife donation (in their
designated envelopes and placed in our offertory boxes) at
any time. You may also donate to the ShareLife appeal by
going online at www.sharelife.org There will be another
major collection for ShareLife on 11 October and 8
November. Our goal for the ShareLife campaign is
$84,800. To date, we have collected $40,462

livestream Mass for the occasion of the 106th World Day of
Migrants and Refugees on Sunday September 27 at 10am.
The celebrant and homilist will be Thomas Cardinal Collins.

ALERT: EMAIL SCAM
Many parishioners, staff members, and advertisers
in our bulletin have been receiving a fraudulent
email from Fr. Joe asking for donations of all sorts.
The only email Fr. Joe uses is:
Should you receive an email from Fr. Joe, other then
the aforementioned email, please disregard it.
Please contact our parish office and inform us of the
fraudulent email address.
Our Archdiocesan office has been alerted to the fact
that fraudulent emails have been sent to parishioners
in the name of Fr. Joe. This is an unfortunate
occurrence, which is happening with other priests.
We are so happy to be able to continue with our
2019/2020 First Communions. Please see the email that
Mrs. Selda sent regarding the rehearsal dates and First
Communion dates and times. In order to keep everyone
safe, we have been required to split our larger schools in
half and have a restriction on the number of guests in
order to maintain social distancing. Tickets for the First
Communion Masses will be given at the rehearsal.

ONLINE DONATIONS
Dear parishioners,
If you are not able to attend, but still wish to donate, here
are the ways in which you can continue to support our parish
at this time:
Mail your regular weekly offertory contribution to the
parish or drop off to the parish mailbox by the office
door, or drop off in the donations box at Mass.
Online donations can be made at
www.archtoronto.org. Simply click on the donate now
icon, select St. Francis de Sales parish from the drop
down menu and the fund you wish to donate to. This
can be done as a onetime donation or as an ongoing
monthly donation. It will give you a place to choose that
option.
Contribute through pre-authorized giving. You can
obtain a form from the parish website. Mail the
completed form and a voided cheque to your parish
office. Or e-mail the form and a scanned copy or photo
of a voided cheque to [email protected]
for processing. Contributions are withdrawn from your
bank account on the 20th of each month.
Thank you for your many contributions to our parish
community.

Since we were unable to celebrate Confirmation this past
April 2020 with our Grade 7 students, we are now able to
provide you with the dates for Confirmation 2020 for those
students who are now in Grade 8. Here are the dates and the
