CHRISTMAS BREAK Regular Religious Education classes will resume on Wednesday, January 9 at the new building site. We hope everyone has a wonderful, safe Christmas break! VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO HELP WITH RELIGIOUS ED. DROP-OFFS Please consider volunteering to keep our children safe as they make their way from the busy parking lot to their Religious Education classes. We need several adults each Wednesday from about 5:40-6:00pm, and we hope to have enough volunteers that each group only has to take one turn. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, parishioners - we need your help with our program as our kids continue to grow in the Catholic faith. To volunteer, contact Ann Norwood at 423-794-8759 or [email protected]. NEW YEAR MASS On Tuesday morning we will have mass at BDS at 10 am. This is the feast of Mary, mother of God. We honor our Lady and ask her to pray for all of us as we start off our new year. Our Lady, Queen of Peace, pray for us. MERRY CHRISTMAS We celebrate the twelve days of Christmas from December 25th to January 6th. A savior is born, a son given, it is Christ the Lord. He is our Lord, our Shepard and our friend. KREWE OF ST. FABIAN DUES Krewe of St. Fabian dues are $25 per person until December 31st. Beginning January 1st dues will be $35 per person. Dues payments may be made through St. Fabian Catholic Church’s Venmo account or pay Nancy Farris or Lester Dalme. HOSPITAL VISITS Fr. Tommy visits both hospitals 3 or 4 or 5 times a week! VERY often there is no information available on Catholic patients. The best way is to simply call the church office please, and let us know. If you do not want him to visit, then there is no need to call! IRISH PRIEST REUNION Each year in January the Irish priests gather for a reunion on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. This year it is January 6 through the 9th! There is a mass on Tuesday evening at 6 pm at St Thomas Church in Long Beach and a meal afterwards. Fr. Louis Lohan will be our guest speaker at the mass.
