SEMINARY COLLECTION NEXT WEEKEND The annual Collection for St. Joseph’s Seminary provides an education and formation of those preparing to serve the church as priests. TRI-PARISH NEWS: ST. COLUMBA, ST. DENIS, ST. KATERI TEKAKWITHA THE SILVER LININGS LEISURE CLUB ACTIVITIES WE ARE BACK AND ON THE MOVE!!!!!!!! Movie Tuesday continues on October 5; the movie will be The Guardian, starring Kevin Costner, an action-packed drama that takes you inside the never-before-seen world of the elite Coast Guard Rescue Swimmers. Movie Tuesday will meet in the Church Meeting Room 9:45 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the first Tuesday of each month through June. Senior Stretch Exercise Class continues on Wednesday, September 15, 9:45 a.m.-10:30 a.m. in the Church Meeting Room. Dress comfortably, bring water or other hydration, and bring light weights if you have them. Stretch will meet every Wednesday morning through end of June. Book Club begins on Thursday, September 30, 10 a.m.-11a.m. in the Church Meeting Room and will be discussing The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World, by The Dalai Lama & Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Book Club will meet on last Thursday of each month through June. We have scheduled a one-day trip to the Sight & Sound Theatre on Wednesday, November 3, for the 11 a.m. showing of Queen Esther, then lunch at nearby restaurant Shady-Maple Smorgasbord. Price is $120 per person, which includes the price for the Bus, the Ticket and Lunch. We must have your full payment absolutely no later than September 30 as we must make full payment to Sight & Sound Theatre one full month in advance. If you must cancel, you can do so up to September 30 and your ticket price will be refunded. Should you cancel October 1 or thereafter, your ticket price will not be refunded.
