The Cathedral was built in Moskow on Red Square, and is also at the geometric center of Moskow

• The original church (known as the Trinity Church) burnt down in 1583 and was rebuilt by 1593
• Legend says that Ivan blinded the architects so that they could not recreate the building’s beauty elsewhere
