On Sunday the 5 th of March, five school choirs from Koriyama join choir groups from Tokyo, Kanagawa and Kyoto for the 22 nd ‘Music City Koriyama’ National Choir Festival at the Koriyama City Cultural Center. The event starts at 13:30 (doors open at 13:00). Admission is free of charge, but tickets can be reserved at Koriyama City New JR Station Opening: JR Koriyama-Tomita Station The construction of a new station on the JR Banetsu West Line is nearly finished. The new station will be named Koriyama-Tomita Station, is located between Koriyama Station and Kikuta Station and will be opened on the 1 st of April. For extra convenience during the daily commute, and extra return train is added to the daily schedule during the morning hours starting the 4 th of March.
