In fact, he maintains that the entire community’s “inner nature” is constantly being renewed in hope through this thanksgiving meal. Good stewards understand that the weekly celebration of the Eucharist is a communal gesture by which the gathered community reveals its faith and hope in the risen Lord. Moreover, that it is a profound communal act of faith that Christ is present and active in the world at this moment. Given that understanding, what responsibilities do we take on to lift up the faith of our community? What part do we play in giving it hope? ~ ICSC e-bulletin Tenth Sunday in Ordinary Time Natural Family Planning Class An online Natural Family Planning class will be taught by Jeff and Michelle Chardos on June 16th. Couples can take the class from the comfort of their own home. Natural Family Planning is knowledge of a couple’s signs of fertility and is an effective and approved method for avoiding a pregnancy. Practicing NFP is 100% natural — there are no drugs, chemicals or devices involved, which is one reason many today find it to be a positive and refreshing alternative to contraceptive methods. NFP honors our dignity as persons by respecting the natural rhythms and functions of the body. It is very common to hear couples who use NFP speak of an increased awe and respect for femininity and their mutual fertility, and a greater sense of empowerment through self-knowledge. Please call Jeff and Michelle at 706-569-8512 or email them at [email protected] with any questions or to register for the class. Saying Goodbye To Our Priests There will be a reception on Saturday, June 23 in Visitation Hall immediately following the 5:30 Vigil Mass for Fr. McCarthy, Fr. Brian and Fr. Joey so we can offer our goodbyes and best wishes to each of them as they prepare to leave St. Anne Parish. We hope you’ll stop by for a little cake and punch and let them know how much they are loved and appreciated. Thanksgiving expressed in the Eucharistic meal
