VISION

General

The medical center will meet the following goals and objectives:

Provide a supportive and stimulating environment for clinical excellence.

Provide the latest appropriate technological advances in support of diagnosis, treatment and patient care.

Deliver facilities which assure continued future flexibility and technological change.

Provide patient care environments which protect patient privacy, confidentiality and personal dignity.

The proposed specialty surgical center will comprize three buildings: Surgical Hospital, Outpatient Center and Rehabilitation Center. The facility will be

constructed to international standards and include advanced medical technologies to support the goals and vision of delivering "state of the art"

healthcare services.

Section 01: Summary Narratives


PROGRAMMING PROCESS

Facility Space Planning

1. RTKL standard model of space accomodation was used to determine number and size of rooms, offices and stations.

2. HAL Functional Narrative provided directions to establish major departmens, and types and quantity of spaces.

3. Some support and administrative spaces were selected from RTKL model to complement departments proposed by the Narrative.

4. The program depicts space accomodations in three colors:

Green: Spaces specified in the Narrative and provided in the program.

Yellow: Complementary spaces from the program model that were not listed in the Narrative but typically are provideded in this type of facilities.

Red: Standard model program spaces not assigned to this facility for various reasons.

Planning Assumptions

1. 120 inpatient beds are programmed as general medical / surgical inpatient units.

2. Subspecialty beds of standard model are left in the program sections marked with red color for future consideration.

3. Small departments administrative spaces are reduced to basic rooms and marked with yellow color.

4. Total of 56 exam rooms are programmed with following designation:

Medical: 32 (8 General Internal, 8 General Sugery, 4 Gastroenterlogy, 4 Urology, 4 ENT, 4 Plastic / Reconstructive)

Cardio: 16

Neuro: 8 (4 Neurodiagnostics, 4 Neurosciences)
