Admin BlockThe admin block at Subodh College acts as a control
centre. It not only keeps a systematic record of
information but also plays the role of a reliable channel
of communication which is imperative for the smooth
functioning of the organisation.
Seminar HallA well designed, sustainable infrastructure is our
backbone and in that series we, at Subodh have the
proud distinction of maintaining a fully equipped and
well spaced seminar hall that is well facilitated with
the latest audio-visual technology and can house
approximately 300 people.
Conference Room
Discussions form a major part of a stream lined
management and for this we at Subodh provide a
well equipped conference hall with digital
technology and capabilities to create the perfect
space for any gathering, meeting, discussions,
demonstration, workshops and presentations.
AuditoriumA state-of- the art auditorium with a good seating
capacity of 600 students is aesthetically designed in
the college. The air conditioned and sound proof
auditorium offers a common ground for all the
students, faculties and external sources for customary
interfaces, conferences, award ceremonies, cultural
events and other inter college activities. With its well
equipped modern facilities like multimedia projectors,
sound system and extensive area, it is indeed the
crown jewel of the campus.

Indoor stadiumIndoor games are a great way of spending leisure time
and learning various skills. The college facilitates
students Indoor games like chess, carrom, table
tennis etc.
Open Stage
To conduct various cultural and other events at a wide
scale an open stage is set at the centre of college
ground with a seating capacity of more than 1000
spectators.
• Silence must be observed in the library.
• Personal belongings are not allowed inside the library.
• All students should sign the entry register of the library, before entering.
• Books are to be handled very carefully. If a book is lost by the student, she shall replace the book or pay the cost of
the book as fine.
• Students are not permitted to underline, write, fold the pages or deface books in any way whatsoever.
• At the end of the session the students must return their token and library book based on the library circular and
obtain “No Dues Certificate” from the library.

Language LabThe language laboratory has been designed keeping
the state-of-art technology that provides an effective,
accessible learning environment for enhancing the
linguistic and conceptual skills of the students.
Medical Facility
The college has a sick room available for use by students under the supervision of a medically trained and
qualified staff member. The doctor is available on call for students' care.
Girls Common RoomThe college has a provision for girls' common room
where girls may sit, rest and go for recreation. This
room is well lit, neat and clean to provide a friendly
ambience to its users.
CafeteriaWhat you eat is what you are. A healthy mind can only
reside in a healthy body. Hence, the college canteen
has provision for healthy snacks, fruit juice, and other
edibles for energy boosts.
HostelAt Subodh Girls College, many students come from all
across the state and nation to live in the college
campus, which come closest to being a home away
from home. Caring warden, hygienic and nutritious
food, tight security, prompt medical aid, T.V room,
indoor games and other recreational facilities ensures
a pleasant stay, allowing students to focus on their

ParkingThere is separate parking facility for both faculty and
students. More than 500 vehicles can be parked at the
same time. For the security of the vehicles, 24 hour
CCTV cameras are active and about 4-5 guards are
always on the duty.

LibrarySubodh library is housed in an excellent aesthetically designed modern building to support study and research. It is well stocked with an adequate collection of text books, reference books, project reports, compact disc, audio and video cassettes. Apart from books, the students have access to the latest magazines, newspapers and research papers. College library is well stocked with 6945 no. of books, 10 journals, 25 magazines and 11 newspapers. Library system of college is more focussed on creating and providing a comfortable and user friendly environment that enables learning and advancement of knowledge and also promotes discovery beyond class room learning.

Anti Ragging CellRagging is a violation of human rights. Subodh college
has always taken adequate measures for prevention
and control of ragging every year. The college
premises, laboratories and corridors are equipped
with CCTV cameras and facilitate videos surveillance
at all hours. Following the Hon'ble supreme court
direction we aim to make Subodh college a ragging
free campus. Victimised students of ragging may seek
help from the following persons

Science Club A Science Club is established to promote awareness
and interest among students of science. The activities
of the club are expected to stimulate the pursuit of
scientific knowledge and encourage the students
potentially to express scientific ideas. The club
conducts various activities like debates, quiz,
seminars, workshops, guest lectures, field trips
throughout the year to boost up the scientific zeal in
the students. Under the banner of Science Club an
Inter college science competition was also conducted
in which 12 colleges participated enthusiastically.
More than 150 students showed their skills through
poster making competition and beautifully created
working and non working models.
Commerce ClubIn order to meet the challenges of the corporate
environment, Commerce Club has been established
to enrich and empower the students with technical
and academic excellence. The club provides facilities
for students to promote creativity, interpersonal
skills, communication skills, leadership qualities and
team spirit by conducting programmes like business
quiz, group discussions, power point presentations,
industrial visits and guest lectures by business experts
of the industry.
Arts Club We have a well administered Arts Club which is
created to give an artistic outlet to the students apart
from academic curriculum. It also helps to enrich and
foster an interest for art and personal expression
through dexterous art. On campus, the club sponsors
various events like rangoli, mehandi, rakhi, debates,
essay, and poster making competitions. The arts club
members also work as art educators and facilitates to
guide the students to bring out the beauty of art,
hidden within the youth.

college to ensure that all the women and girls are safe,
secure and their mental and physical wellbeing is
catered to, with utmost care and dedication. They are
trained and educated through different self defence
programmes in order to make them safe and
invulnerable to any mishap. For any query students
can contact Dr. Anju Sharma.
Grievance Redress CellThe college has a 'Grievance redress Cell' headed by
Dr. Anju Sharma to address the grievance of the
students. The students can approach the cell to voice
their grievance regarding academic matters, health
services, library and other issues. A student may send
her grievance to the Principal or put a note in the
grievance box located in the campus. The cell
redresses the grievance by sorting out the problems
promptly and judiciously.
Student Safety CellAt Subodh ,we insure the safety and well being of our
students by insuring them under “UNITED INDIA
INSURANCE COMPANY”. The insurance policy
supports the students financially in case of any
mishappenning or emergency. As per policy the sum
insured for each student is Rs 1,00,000/- in case of
accidental death or permanent total disablement.

Anti Tobacco Cell'Anti Tobacco Cell' was established keeping in view
the NTPC programme and for the implementation of
Anti Tobacco law and generating public awareness,
against ill effects of tobacco. The cell primarily focuses
on planning, monitoring and implementing
programmes against alcohol, tobacco and drug
addiction

Reminiscence
Welcome and Orientation
A new environment, a new start and a new phase of life. It is a day full
of hesitation and mixed emotions for newcomers. In order to
overcome this, the old students and the teachers welcome the new
members in a traditional Indian way. The main focus is to help the
first year students in getting acquainted with the campus, the new
subjects, simple rules and regulations and the facilities available in
and around the campus.
Independence Day
Independence Day was celebrated by the students and staff of the th college on 15 August 2015. The National flag was hoisted by the chief
guest Shri Atul ji Jain, hon'ble Judge, Rajasthan High Court, Jaipur,
who gave an inspirational speech on patriotism. A tender tribute to
the leaders of freedom struggle was paid. Students expressed their
emotions through patriotic songs, performances, cultural activities
and drill.
Students Alumini“Inspiring others with being inspired yourself”
We all have memories of our college, and there is no
better way to keep those memories alive by being an
integral part of an Alumini Association. We at Subodh
strive to reconnect and strengthen the bond to ignite
opportunities and enrich student experience which
will become our ultimate legacy, through a well
organised student Alumini Association.
The Career Counselling Cell headed by Dr. Lata Chanchalani is designed to enhance student learning
regarding their academic and career choices by providing programmes, resources and services that will assist
them in gaining vocational skills. Career counselling involve scientifically developed aptitude tests and
personality tests that helps the counsellor to give the best suited career advice to the students based on their
aptitude, personality, skills and job expectations. At Subodh we have a dedicated team of faculty for
determining and assessing the capabilities of students and leading them towards right career path. The cell
organizes workshops to improve the communication skills, personality, aptitude, etc., and ensure maximum
participation of students. Students of B.C.A part III have been selected in T.C.S. company through campus
placement.
Career Counselling Cell“It's not what you achieve, it's what you overcome that's what defines your career”
Freshers Party
At the beginning of the session a freshers party was organised in the college.
The chief guest of this function was the convenor of the college Mrs. Veena
Jamad. A rainbow of colourful presentation was the attraction of the event.
Manpreet was titled as Miss fresher, first runner up was Pratigya Singh and
second runner up was Surabhi Gupta. The theme of the programme was
'RETRO'. It was thus an excellent way of breaking the ice, and make the new
comers friendly and eventually motivating them.
Hindi Divas
The Department of Hindi organised a series of programmes on the th occasion of Hindi Divas on 14 September, 2015. Various activities
related to the importance of Hindi language were conducted like
essay writing. kavita path, debates and shloka recital to educate the
students about our National language. The students actively
participated in the programme which evoked the spirit of
Nationalism in them.

Sports Day“All work and no play, makes jack a dull boy”. This proverb
highlights the importance of physical activity in our life. The
spirit of sportsmanship is celebrated every year at Subodh
with full vigour and zeal in the form of sports day. The
students participate in various competitions including flat
race, sac race, kabbadi, three legged race, kho-kho and many
other competitive sport activities.
Dandiya FestivalIn honour of Goddess Durga, a Dandiya Fest was organised in
Navratra in which students of the college participated with full
enthusiasm. A competition was organised for best group
dance and best costume. Besides this, students also set up
stalls of edibles, clothes, accessories etc.
Youth Week
The Youth Festival is an annual gathering of youth with various
activities including competitive ones. The objective of youth
festival is to focus on cultural aspects and number of other
programmes covering a wide variety of activities which not
only reflect the spirit of friendship but also peace, love and
development. In youth week we, at Subodh conduct various
activities like fireless cooking, bridal makeup, nail art, tattoo
making, fancy dress, essay writing, debate, singing, solo and
group dance competitions, sports activities, etc.
Annual FunctionThe college held its own annual 'Mega' function “HORIZON” which
was a roaring success amongst all. The college Principal Dr. Madhu
Srivastava commenced the program with the presentation of the
College Annual Report and highlighted the achievements of the
students. The main purpose of this annual function was to thank and
appreciate the parents and guardians of these students, who
motivate the college authorities in the education process. It was a
day of thanksgiving when our college wore a festive look, arches of
colourful flags everywhere, music and song filled the air. The chief
guest on this occasion was Shri Jasbir Singh, Chairman, Minorities
Commission, Rajasthan. Finally the programme was concluded with
a colourful and vibrant cultural programme.

FarewellAt the end of the session the college organised the farewell of the outgoing
students. A day of mixed emotions and expression of good wishes for the
ones who are ready to embark upon a different journey. The students walked
with great confidence on the stage, clad in colourful Indian attire, introduced
themselves with confidence. Ayushi was titled as Miss Farewell, first runner up
was Aishwarya and Shilpa Ram bagged second runner up title. The cultural
programme was the main attraction, which motivated the audience to come
on the stage and dance.
Republic Dayt hThe 67 Republ ic Day was celebrated
enthusiastically by the staff and students of
Subodh. The chief guest of the event Mr. Rajeev
Singh Thakur (I.A.S.) hoisted the National flag.
He delivered inspirational speech to encourage
the students. A spirit of patriotism was shown
by the students through numerous patriotic
songs, drill and other cultural activities.

th 1. A lecture on women empowerment and motivation was organised on 28
August in which Dr. Ashutosh Pant, Director, Swasthya Kalyan Vibhag, Jaipur
was the speaker.th 2. On 28 October a lecture on Nano Technology was delivered by Dr. Gyan Singh
Shekhawat, Associate professor of Botony, Jai Narain University, Jodhpur.th3. A talk on “Sanwidhan Ka Praroop” was given by Dr. Jyoti Sharma on 26
November 2015.
4. A lecture on the life of Shri Vivekanand was delivered by Dr. Sheela Roy,
Associate Professor, Department of Political Science, University of Rajasthan th on 12 January 2016.
5. A lecture on “Cloud Computing” by Dr. Meenu Dave, HOD, Department of
Computers at Jagannath University, Chakshu was organised in the campus.
6. A lecture was delivered by Dr. Vandana Sharma, Professor, Jaipuria Institute of thManagement, on 'Employability Skills' on 28 January 2016.
th7. On 30 January 2016 a seminar was organised in which renouned C.A., Dr.
Rajeev Jain discussed on the importance and future scope of commerce.

• Aiming at making women financially independent, a two day workshop on effective resume writing and
the various aspects of facing an interview and regarding soft skills like body language, confidence
building, leadership and communication was conducted by soft skill expert Ms. Jaya Singhvi and Ms.
Pallavi Kashyup to prepare the students for any career opportunity and extend their network for a better
placement.
• Dr. Maya Tondon, who works for the cause of minimising road accidents conducted a workshop
regarding 'Road Safety and First Aid'. She educated by a small demonstration and a brief clipping on how
to give proper first aid and reduce the death rate, thereafter.
• Dr, Anjana Srivastava, Co-ordinator ,Disaster Management, OTS, with her team of experts conducted a
workshop for disaster risk reduction. The objective of this workshop was to provide orientation and
technical assistance during any disaster like fire, earthquake, accidents etc.
• Baking workshop was conducted by baking expert Mrs. Renu Singh who taught the girls about the fine
art of making cakes and cookies, methodically.
• Mr. Sushil Kumar from USHA sewing machine demonstrated upgraded sewing machine models and
techniques of stitching.
• A workshop on the use of Herbal beauty products and beauty tips were given by renound beautician Ms.
Shahnaz Hussain at the college.
• To safeguard today's generation against cyber threats an extensive workshop was hosted at Subodh by
Mr. Milind Agarwal, President of Cyber Crime Awareness Society and explained protection against cyber
criminals and also about ethical hacking.
• A two day web designing workshop was conducted to enhance the IT skills of students by Business Head
Operations, Mr. Rakesh Sharma of DUCAT, Jaipur.
• Two days workshop on “Website development and Multimedia” was conducted to make the student
technology friendly.
• A two day riding workshop was organised by Pushpa Honda for the students in the college.
Educational Excursions
• The department of chemistry organised a trip for its M.Sc. students to 'Therachem Research Medilab',
Jaipur which is a world class research operational and development center.
• By the department of B.B.A. another field trip to Akshay Patra, a non profit NGO in India was organised
which serves mid day meal to children in all government schools of Jaipur.
• A short trip to 'Vidhan Sabha', Jaipur was carried out by the department of political science to expose the
students to the budgeting procedure and practical implementation of politics and parliament.
Educational tours are an extension of the classroom and develops students personality
and expose them to a better world order.
Student initiated SeminarsFor advanced learning, the P.G students at Subodh present seminars and presentations supervised by the
sponsored faculty which include topics from various streams of Arts, Science and Commerce. The student
initiated seminars helps the students to showcase their presentation skills and also gives them the
opportunity to lead and explore the new vista of learning.

In order to engage the students in meaningful and active learning a series of workshops were
conducted to help students excel inside and beyond the classroom.

NSS is a voluntary association of young people for social welfare services without bias. It provides diversified
opportunities to students in college to develop their personality through community services. The college,
comprises of two units of NSS, each unit consists of 100 students. NSS programme officers take the theme
into their heart and work with zeal and motivate the students for their effective participation in NSS
activities.
• With the beginning of the session an orientation programme for new students/ volunteers took
place through lectures, discussions, field visits and audio-visuals programmes.th • On 9 September The Tree Plantation Day was observed by both the units of NSS with great interest
and delight.nd • On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti 2 October, both the units of NSS participated in Swachhta
Abhiyan and spread awareness about cleanliness in the nearby areas of Sanganer.th
• On 17 December, a seminar on Save Girl Child was organised at college. The chief guest Shri Kishan
Rao Ishwarwal, Director, Medical Health Department, and Dr. Neeta Patni spread awareness about
the different government welfare programs for women.th • On 18 December, a workshop on Disaster Management and First Aid was organised in the campus.
th• A Blood Donation Camp was organised on 19 December in which NSS volunteers, students,
teaching and non teaching staff participated. The students also participated in poster and slogan
making competition with interest and enthusiasm.th th • A seven day special NSS Camp (19 December-25 December) was organised at college. The aim of
the camp was to educate the ignorant people of Budhsinghpura (area taken by NSS units) to control
female infanticide, alcoholism, importance of education and social values and many more.th • On 9 February, a state level Prize Distribution Function was held at college campus. Shri Anup
Khinchi, Commissioner, Commissionorate of Higher education, Rajasthan, Jaipur was the chief
guest. Programme officers from all over Rajasthan were invited and honoured by prizes, mementoes
and certificates.
