Ans: The women working in the tea estates pluck only the tender leaves. They pluck two new leaves with a shoot.
This makes the best tea.

Ans: The tea bushes have to be looked after carefully. They must not get too much sun and so some shady trees have
to be planted . Too much shade is also bad for the tea bushes. There are insects which attack the leaves of the bush.
If the diseases are not watched out, they all the tea bushes will be damaged. The slopes have to be fertilised so that
the tea bushes remain healthy. The bushes have to be trimmed. Old tea bushes have to be plucked and replanted with
new bushes.
7. What might attack the bushes if they are not properly looked after? 2 Mark
Ans: Insects may attack the bushes if they are not properly looked after.
