The Challenge Yr07
Total # of parts 842 and 84 suppliers across 2 manufacturing sitesFSL M’sia and FSL TJN
As a component of our zero defect quality commitment, NXP iscurrently deploying a supply quality management (SQM) tool whichincludes a “ship to control” module. SQM requires electronic submittalof Material Supplier's Certificates of Analysis (CofA).
This enables the utilization of statistical process control (SPC)methodologies to automatically monitor material supplier's electronicCofA submittals. If a material is detected to be outside of the pre-determined control limits, it is automatically rejected.
NXP’s relentless drive towards zero defects is built around a model ofpredict, prevent, protect which enables a proactive problem-solvingapproach to supplier-quality development and management.
Deployment of SQM system to 5 otherNXP sitesCurrently in use at ATKL & ATTJRegistered in Quality Integration ProjectPrimarily 2 deliverable parts
Phase#1:eCoA UploadeCoA is uploaded by supplier on xml format via email submission to std email address.
Phase#2:IQA ModuleeCoA integration with Piece Part Inventory SAP:MES (eg Genesis@ ATKL & ATTJ) as below:
a. Piece Part Inventory SAP:MES (eg Genesis @ ATKL & ATTJ) send info on lots received date through FTP(file transfer protocol) to SQM.
b. IQA lot status/logic (eg Skip or Inspection) assigned to each piece part lot#.c. SQM send file (lots that have eCOA) to Piece Part Inventory SAP:MES (eg Genesis@ ATKL & ATTJ) for

Objective and Scope
17 EXTERNAL USE
Comparison of Former FSL Supplier # & Part# vs Legacy NXP
Part#1:eCoAeCoA is uploaded by supplier on xml format via email submission to std email address.
Strategy:Pilot Deployment:On board common BOM suppliers between ATKL/ATTJ and NXP sites currently in theSQM program. Full Deployment (Dependant on each Site; supplier commitment):Extend the program to rest of BOM suppliers, non-common in NXP 5 Sites
Part#2:iGateeCoA integration with Piece Part Inventory MES (eg Genesis@ ATKL & ATTJ) as below:a. Piece Part Inventory MES (eg Genesis @ ATKL & ATTJ) send info on lots received date
through FTP (file transfer protocol) to SQM.b. IQA lot status/logic (eg Skip or Inspection) assigned to each piece part lot#.c. SQM send file (lots that have eCOA) to Piece Part Inventory MES
(eg Genesis@ ATKL & ATTJ) for auto-move from IQA Bank to Warehouse Bank.
Strategy:Have camLine provide solution/application to integrate piece part inventory system, eg Camstar or any other MES system used within NXP. Currently its Genesis at ATKL & ATTJ.Get involvement of Vendors (eg Camstar/other MES and camLine) in the design architectureto link the MES to IQA Module in SQM. Update: camLine solution is to use SQM MaMa (Material Management) for this requirement.
