Here are some of our thoughts about what Reconciliation means to us: To me reconciliation week means that everyone respects each other and there is no violence. Milly To me Reconciliation means making strong friendships. Korbin Reconciliation means we have rights to let everyone do exactly what we get to do. William It means a lot to me because all the Aboriginals can come and we can say sorry to them. We can treat all the Aboriginals the same because we are one. John I think we should have changed the laws earlier than we did and I think that would have changed a lot. Reconciliation means to me that we should say sorry and pay our respects. To those who lost their children because of us, if you had your childhood taken from you how would you feel, we should make a change and understand. Gabbi For me reconciliation is about people having the courage to look at the past. It’s not about guilt, it’s about having the courage to understand it. We need this done now before it’s forgotten.
