Jan 15, 2020 Jan 6-10: *Last week, our Book of the Week was Snowmen at Night . Our students loved the humorous illustrations of the snowman activities! They learned about winter by completing different activities: investigating InstaSnow, playing a letter snow globe game, completing snowmen grid 10 activities, moving cottonballs with tweezers, creating winter pictures, etc. We also focused on the School-Wide Expectation-Listening the First Time Asked! *Math Fun: We focused on connecting numbers to quantities with “Counting Exercises” *Phonological Awareness: We started a new Letter Activity this week: Letter Z Room 149 Newsletter Early

*Snowman At-Home Activity: Don’t forget to help your child create & decorate a snowman! You can help him/ her draw one, glue items on paper, etc to make the snowman. Our students LOVE sharing their creations with their friends!

*Cold Family Activities: Do you know about the Illinois State Play Museum? It is a part of the IL State Museum designed specifically for children to explore and learn about science and history through play. It is a free place that is perfect for keeping little ones busy during cold, yucky weather! Hours: Mon-Sat 10:00a-4:00p
