Dur- ing the 2 1/2 hour workshop, Dr. Thielen-Gaffey rehearsed two songs from the Cantus folder. She shared stylistic detail, historical aspects of the music, and worked on musical nuance. Having access to out- side clinicians is one of the many benefits of participating in CDCC and we are excited to be able to offer this to our students. Auditions Auditions for 2011-2012 season will be held: Bismarck Choirs Open to students presently in grades 2-11 Wednesday, May 4 5-8 pm Thursday, May 5 5-8 pm High Prairie Arts & Science Complex Dickinson Choir Open to students presently in grades 3-5 Thursday, May 17 5-8 pm Dickinson State University May Hall, Choir Room Audition brochures and registration information can be found at www.aboutcdcc.org. Musical treats will abound with performances by each of CDCC’s choirs. As a special treat, CDCC alumni will be back to perform as well. The evening will culminate with Paul Caldwell and Sean Ivory’s Hope for Resolution performed by CDCC’s com- bined choirs and the Alumni Choir. It will be a night to remember, a chance to shake off the cold and rejoice in the songs of spring. This concert series is sponsored by Starion Financial.
