desired outcome even in the most dire of circum-stances. There are many other examples of God'ssurreptitious method of creating situations tochange what seemed inevitable:

Judges 14: God creates a situation, which ignitesa sequence of tic-for-tact rivalry between Samsonand the Philistines.2Kings 7v1-2: God changes the economic cli-mate of Israel in one day2Kings 7v6: God causes the Syrians to hear thesound of chariots, thus abandoning the siege ofIsrael.

Because God knows the hearts of everyone, Heknows how to create situations that will influenceeven the decision makers that affect your life(Proverbs 21:1). In the case of King Rehoboam,

God did not have to use an army to rend theKingdom from him. All it took was a situation thatcatered for his own ego. Don't be afraid of influ-ential people who are against you, for they arejust a situation away from having to make deci-sions that will work in your favour. As men-tioned, there is no situation or circumstance thatis beyond God's sphere of control. To truly graspthe gravity of that statement you must take Godout of the religious box and recognise His involve-ment in situations that seem far from His will.Whether initiated by Him or allowed by Him, Heis in control!

That being said, it is not God's intent to be themaster puppeteer of His children. As sons of God,He has given us the Kingdom so that we too mayhave power over circumstances. Like allKingdoms, the Kingdom of Heaven is based on asystem of operation. As a matter of fact, theKingdom is a system. A system by definition is anassembly or combination of things workingtogether as a unitary whole. All systems operateaccording to a principle or a law. A law is a rule ofaction; it determines the function of a system.Once you discover and obey the law of any partic-ular system, you can use that system for your ownbenefit. The invention of the light bulb, radio,TVetc came about through discovering the laws bywhich certain systems operate. Many of these lawshave been named after the scientist who discov-ered them; such as Newton's law of gravity,Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction andEinstein's theory of relativity. These men discov-ered systems and the principle upon which thecomponents of that system operated and then usedit for their own benefit. Everything functions sys-tematically.

So how do we achieve power over circumstance?to be continued....

nd we know that all things work together forgood to them that love God, to them who are the

called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28).

The path of life has many twists and turns. Manyof those turns present themselves suddenly andabruptly. There are turns we can choose to takeand there are those we are forced to take. Each turnpresents a new situation or circumstance. Oftentime we tend to make decisions based on what wesee in front of us, as if we are on a straight pathwith no turns or exits. Many have abandoned theirgoals because all they see is a path that leads to adead end or insurmountable obstacles. What youdon't see, is the turn along that very path that willbring about the change you seek or the turn thatwill steer you around many obstacles. Often timesthe obstacle we see ahead is really a turning pointthat will bring us into a better situation.

We must come to a place of understanding wherethe sovereignty of God is concerned. There is nosituation or circumstance beyond His sphere ofcontrol. As a matter of fact He is the master of sit-uations, even those situations that seem to place usoutside His will!

When Rehoboam (the son of Solomon) becameKing, Jeroboam and the assembly of Israel came tohim and asked for the heavy yoke and hard servicethat Solomon had placed on them to be lightened.Having told them to come back in 3 days for hisanswer, Rehoboam sought advice from the old menwho served under Solomon while he was alive. They advised him to serve the people and respondkindly to them so that he will gain their service. However, Rehoboam forsook their counsel andinstead turned to the young men who grew up withhim for advice. The young men gave him theadvice that would appeal to his ego and said, "tothe people who told you, your father made ouryoke heavy, but you make it lighter for us, say this,

'my little finger shall be thicker than my father's loinsand now whereas my father loaded you with a heavyyoke, I will add to your yoke. My father chastised youwith whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions'" (1 Kings 12:10-11 AMP).

The King took the counsel of the young men overthe old and answered the people in the mannerprescribed by them. It is at this point that the biblereveals that the situation was from the Lord(1Kings 12:15 AMP) in order to fulfil His wordregarding the Kingdom being torn away from theson of Solomon.

God is able to fulfil His word in ways that we can-not fathom or even anticipate. With insight, stealth and perfect timing He instigates, orches-trates and creates situations that will bring about a

MZ Who would you say you havebeen influenced or inspired by andwhy? I grew up in NY so there weremany rappers I listened to that had theability to rap...Biggie, Nas, Jay Z and Icould go on. I would be hypocritical tosay that in some way or another ofthese rappers didn't influence me. It’sfunny because I never was a secularrapper. I was always gospel and Ithank God for that. The inspirationbehind my music has always been theGospel of Jesus.

MZ Tell us about your most recentproject ‘R.I.C.H. Resting In ChristHands’ which features the ever populartrack ‘Who you represent?’ What wasthe inspiration behind this album? Iwanted people to know about thisawesome relation-ship I have withChrist. We live in a world wheresuccess is measured by how muchyou possess, or should I say if you areRich. I wanted to redefine whatsuccess is according to what Godsays. It’s a very personal album...Ihave songs like ‘M.R.I.’ and ‘PatientlyWaiting’ that describes some of mypersonal struggles.

MZ You’ve recently finished yourdebut tour ministering in the UK withMali Music and various UK artists? How did you find that experience? Ienjoyed it so much. The UK has manygood talented people that love’s God,that blessed me. However, it didn’ttake me long to realize that the UK didnot know my ministry (smile). So theydidn’t know what to expect. It was ajoy to see people night after night justshocked to see what God is doing inmy life. My only regret is that I did nothave more time on stage. The crowdsdefinitely did not want me to get offeither. I felt like there was so muchmore I had to impart. I guess there isalways next time. But, I absolutelyloved what God did on this tour.

MZ You also shared one of yourtestimonies during your UK tourwhich the track ‘M.R.I’ is based on;could you also share it with ourreaders? Yeah, the track is about me goingto the doctor to get checked out for a tumour

and not knowing what the result would be.The Song has a twist in the middle because Iportray a scene in which my wife is dreaming(get the album... LOL) anyway the song isultimately about trusting God no matter whatcircumstance you may be facing. Trust himeven if the outcome is not what you would likeit to be.

MZ Could you give an example ofchallenges you have faced in yourChristian walk and how have youovercome? In the beginning of myministry I lacked integrity. My son wasborn out of wedlock. I am now marriedto his mother. I realized quick thattalent is what men see, but integrity iswhat God sees. I struggled, and I stilldon't have it all together. But I havecome to trust in Him who is able tokeep me from falling. I also strugglewith low-self esteem, but once againthe beauty of this relationship is thatwhen I am weak God is strong, myconfidence is in God. I’ve experienceda lot of hurt that at times I was bitteragainst people. All these things I wasable to release through much prayerand reading God's word.eli

MZ What can we look forward tohearing from you in the future, whatare you future plans? I am currentlyrecording new tracks for a summerrelease of a Deluxe Edition of Let’sCome Together. In add-ition, I willbegin working on a “Love” project thisyear. One of the songs on the DeluxeEdition of Let’s Come Together willgive listeners a sneak peak of what toexpect on the Love project. This isvery close to my heart because I lovesinging about love.

MZ What encouraging words do youhave for up and coming gospel hip-hop artists? Stay faithful to the Lord. Stayin His word. Seek to please Him first not man.Let Him use you. Don't give up. Work Hard.Give it your all. Don't do it for man's approvaldo it for God's approval. Even if you get fameand wealth it doesn't mean God is pleased.Make sure you please the Lord.

As far as when theministry begun....hmmmm...I always was into music. Iplayed drums in my father's church. So I was always aroundmusic. I remember rapping at age 13 and 14 for fun inchurch. Throughout my teenage years it was just a hobby. But around ages 17/18, just before my father died I begun torealize that God was gonna use my gift. I lacked integrity atthe time however...and the years that followed I had to dealwith some of those issues.

A person who does not have the Spirit does notaccept the truths that come from the Spirit of God.That person thinks they are foolish and cannotunderstand them, be-cause they can only be judgedto be true by the Spirit. The spiritual person is ableto judge all things, but no one can judge him. TheScripture says: “Who has known the mind of theLord? Who has been able to teach him?” But wehave the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:14-18(New Century Version)

These verses of scriptures teach cogent truththat holds the key to supernatural and victori-ous living. Firstly, the leadings of the spirit areincomprehensible and foolish to those with-out the spirit. Secondly, the spiritual person isone who has an ability to discern the leadingof the spirit. Thirdly, we believers have themind of Christ, and hence are equipped toreceive the leading of the spirit.

It is accepting and acting on the leading of thespirit that, not only holds the key to victoriousliving, but also I believe, the secret to the

supernatural wealth transfer that the Lordby His spirit has been prophesying to thechurch in the last few years. “The power toget wealth” in Deuteronomy 8:18 is prima-rily a supernatural endowment or enhance-ment of the mental faculties to operate atlevels beyond oneís natural skills, talentsand abilities; and it comes via divine revela-tion. I have not only read these scriptures, but found it to be true in my life and mostrecently in experience of publishing my firstbook-Footprints of Giants, from whichcontents of this article have been adapted.

Grasping this concept and acting on itwould enrich your life in no small measure. The power of an idea, concept, businessplan, or marketing strategy revealed by the

spirit of God to your human spirit and trans-lated to your human mind for your body toaction, cannot be underestimated in trans-forming your situation. It takes just a wordrevealed (rhema), believed and acted on tomove you from where you are now to whereyou wish and ought to be.

It is my firm conviction based on scripturalinsight that, the edge that believers are begin-ning to demonstrate and would progressivelydo, over non- believers in all spheres of life, prominent among which is the market place;is by divine revelation of concepts, ideas andstrategies that outwit traditional wisdom.Wisdom in Proverbs 8:18 boasts that “Richesand honour are with me, enduring riches andrighteousness”. However, 1 Corinthians 1:30reveals who “Wisdom” is when it says-”But ofHim are ye in Christ Jesus, who became for us“Wisdom” from God”. Christ is the wisdomof God, and the great news to shout on therooftop about is, “We have the mind ofChrist”!

Yes, we have the mind of Christ, but it wouldonly work for us if we learn how to tune in toand obtain direction from His spirit. Beforegoing ahead to share with you personal expe-riences of victory by the revelation, letís firstfind out from scriptures how to access themind of Christ via His Spirit.

Be Status ConsciousPsalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way youshould go; I will guide you with My eye. (New king James)

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come,he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak ofhimself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak:and he will shew you things to come.

Believers must recognise we are sons and sohave access to divine direction by the HolySpirit. Expect to be led by His Spirit becauseyou are a son and it is the privilege of sons tobe led. The fact that we have the mind ofChrist means we possess the antenna throughwhich the Holy Spirit can transmit messagesto our human spirits. We however need totune and train those antennae ( human spirit)to receive from the transmitting station (HolySpirit). Stop confessing being clueless or with-out solution, because you can access the direc-tion you need if you care to.

Be a SeekerJeremiah 29:13 “And ye shall seek me, and find me, whenye shall search for me with all your heart”.

Everyone who is an ardent, relentless seekerof God for divine insight into their affairs isguaranteed divine leading. I am not ashamedto admit that it is my usual practise to seekGod in my heart for the leading of His spiritin the cross road moments in my clinical prac-tise and academic pursuits. I recount once, being confronted with a work-based manage-

ment project for which I was not naturallyinclined or suited. Even, choosing the topic ofthe project was a challenge as managementessays are not a natural area of strength, beinga clinician. However, upon seeking God, Heby His Spirit not only gave me a topic, butalso a strategy to write my project, such that Icame out tops in a class comprising of sea-soned managers who had a daily workingknowledge of what the project required. Thetutor later commented in writing, that overthe entire period of several years teaching thecourse, my essay was one of the most out-standing she had ever assessed.

May I ask you dear reader, “how desperate areyou to hear from God about your ministry, church, marriage, calling or business?”. “Thedecisive test for desire is the price the bearer iswilling to pay in exchange for itís accomplish-ment”. (Footprints of Giants 2009 ). Ifindeed you acknowledge that the divine ideafrom the Holy Spirit holds the key to yourbreak through, may I challenge you todemonstrate it, by seeking Him until you areconvinced beyond all doubts that He has spo-ken to you? What you need to do with theword or idea laid on your heart is subject forpart2 of this article.......
