• Ringo/Lucky

• White – Kick away– Up Backs set to the right (base is to the right)

• Red – Right– Up Backs set to the right

• Blue – Left– Up Backs set to the left

• Brown – Rugby– Up Backs set to the right– 5-7 steps on Rugby

• Jet – speed tempo– Cadence: “Set”, 1 second ball snapped

• Indy – base tempo– Cadence: “Shift (if necessary)”, “Ready (prot/dir if needed)”,

• Glide – base tempo– Cadence: “Shift (if necessary)”, “Ready (prot/dir if needed)”,

• Spread– Base way to line up

• Split– Outside guys split out to 6 yards

• Trips Lt./Rt.– One side shifts out 6-8 yards from LS– Backside guy can also split out

• Over Lt./Rt.– Outside guy goes over to other side

Notes• Communication is the most important key to the

Spread Punt• Overload calls are only vs. 7/3 sets or 6/3 sets• Count only the players on the LOS• Understand if the return team is in a block mode or

return mode• Work on only 2 fakes for the week• Use the Rugby if possible to take the

aggressiveness out of the return team• Drills – Protection, Get off blocks, and Covering
