MULTI-ACTIVITY SUMMER CAMP JUNIOR INFANTS - 6th CLASS

Week-Long Camps

Scientist Dr Trish Murphy will take children through an exciting array of experiments by answering the whys and hows of everyday life. Learn about the human body, look at animals up closely, make something cool from kitchen ingredients and investigate the forces that control our planet. Then try your hand at LEGO building by designing and creating a range of different structures every day.

Learn to stitch in a fun and creative way with Bernie Murphy Textile Artist/Designer. All you need to get started is a basic grasp for sewing and needlecraft. Each day offers ideas on how to create exciting projects with stitch.

Explore the art of storytelling and video making with actor and YouTuber John D Ruddy. Creator of the Manny Man YouTube and book series, John will explore stories, history and video making through fun and interactive drama, art and editing workshops. By the end of the week each group will produce a short video based on stories of their choice with the help and guidance of John D Ruddy and have loads of fun along the way!

We will bring you on an exciting journey through the Irish language. Experience the Gaeltacht in Carndonagh this summer with our Irish Summer Camp. Explore art, drama, stories, myths, games, sport, computers and much more through the medium of our Irish language. The group will be split into age appropriate groups. This camp is part funded by Foras na Gaeilge. Venue: St Patrick's Girls’ School

A fun course designed to help children learn basic camera functions and posing, explore their creativity and make new friends followed by more creativity with building Lego.

Parent/Carer must stay with the child until the group is ready in the morning. Parent/carer must also return 15 minutes before the end of the session.

Daniel Gallanagh and Inishowen Surf School challenge you to try your hand at conquering the waves on our Inishowen beaches in a week of fun surfing and orienteering. There will also be discussion on beach awareness and safety, beach/rock pool excursions and talks on local wildlife and environ-mental awareness. Wetsuits are provided.

This camp is part-funded by the Capiten Maritime Festival in conjunction with Donegal County Council.

Children love to tell stories—they do it all the time. As we get older we forget that we all have unique power as writers and creative thinkers. This workshop will help children of all ages to tap into their creativity and write their own stories. They will also get an opportunity to get creative with arts and crafts including painting, drawing, construction, fabric and fibre.

Swimming lessons for children aged 5+ at Bunagee Pier. Lessons will last for 45 minutes. Please bring your own wetsuit - one will be provided if you do not have one. Bring some armbands if needed and goggles.

Learn how to paint special effects with watercolours.

Learn how to paint clouds, the sea, waves, birds, space and much more! You can learn how to make paintings really stand out by using amazing colours! Watercolours are great fun to use, easy to clean and nontoxic.
