Spotlight on the Runway: Fashions from Around the Green As part of the community for 125 years, Morristown-Beard is highlighting local merchants for this year’s fashion show. Each week leading up to the exciting event, we will shine the spotlight on some of the fabulous stores that will be providing the fantastic looks for the seniors to show off on the catwalk. This week we are pleased to present Paradise, J. McLaughlin and Elizabeth Johns. Paradise is an independently owned Lilly Pulitzer signature store in Morristown offering a complete selection of Lilly’s colorful and iconic clothing, footwear and accessories. Paradise also features merchandise from Trina Turk, Jude Connally, Vineyard Vines, KUT from Kloth and more. MBS senior girls will look glam as they sport the latest trends from Paradise’s Fall resort wear collection including vests, cashmere and lightweight sweaters. J. McLaughlin was started in 1977 by brothers Kevin and Jay McLaughlin on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Their look can be described as innovatively nostalgic, classic American sportswear for men and women. Their beautiful Catalina fabrics, with patterns designed by Kevin, are washable and locally manufactured. Manager, Leslie Otero describes the store’s relaxed shopping experience as “going into your friend’s closet and picking out clothes.” The brand’s respect for regional individuality is reflected in Morristown’s stand-alone boutique shop along the picturesque “Country Mile.” The girls and boys wearing J. McLaughlin on the runway will feature the classic styles that J. McLaughlin customers have come to love.
