Photos that include roads, branches, or other objects in front of the homecreate barriers for the mind. The viewer has to first get over the barrier in order to focus on the home. A simple fix for our editing team.

Blown out white windows are a major distraction, and can pull focus away froma room. HDR photos not only provide a realistic view of a room by showing the view outside the win-dow, but eliminate the distraction.

Distractions are negative because they draw focus away from the subject. The goal is to remove all distractions from the photo, so that the focus is solely on the home.

Photos taken with a fish-eye or too-wide lens, such as panora-

mas, create a distorted image. The unrealistic representation of a room is misleading to viewers and upsets

the subconscious.

A quality photo uses leading lines to draw focus to the highlighted feature. This hap-pens on a subconscious level for the viewer, but has a major impact.
