Jessica EnnisWell, I can’t reach for the medicine cabinet because so many products are banned! So I just stick to simple things like honey and lemon drinks, plenty of water and loads of rest. I am pretty in touch with my body and how it is, so I can usually catch things early and that really helps them not get too bad.
At what stage would you decide not to compete through illness? It depends on the competition really, but I can usually tell if I am well enough. For me it’s a bit different, this is my career - generally I would say don’t compete if you are not well as there will always be another race or competition.
