SportHiTech Hipshot Tuner Button FAQ’sHipshot guitar tuners all have interchangeable buttons. Any button can be used on any tuner.
As standard, all open gear tuners (both locking and non-locking) come with the ‘Hipshot’ button (see‘HH1’ below) and all enclosed gear tuners (both locking and non-locking tuners) come with the D07 ‘miniSchaller’ button in the same color as the tuner.
SportHiTech do stock sets with some of the most popular button types pre-mounted, and we stock allthe Hipshot add-on buttons individually. If you’re buying a set of tuners from us, you get a bundlediscount on any add-on buttons you might need. Please email us at [email protected] if youhave any questions.
Although all the buttons fit all of the tuners, be aware of the distance between tuners when ordering,some buttons are primarily designed for three-per-side and could be too wide on a 6, 7, or 8 inlineheadstock, for example. As always, we’re here to help, so let us know if you have any questions.

Where can I buy Hipshot buttons?

How much do tuner buttons weigh?
All weights are for 6 buttons with no screws. Remember to adjust for 7 & 8 string and beyond…

Do these buttons fit other manufacturer’s tuners?We can tell you for sure that they do not fit Sperzel tuners.Hipshot buttons are compatible with Grover tuners, however. They are also compatible with WilkinsonEZ-Lok locking tuners.
They may work with other manufacturers, if you find out, please let us know!
