itSMF Australia is proud to be changing direction in 2015; to build on our past successes and respond to the disruptive demands and opportunities our industry is facing. The goal of this year’s conference is to attract and foster tomorrow’s enterprise service management leaders.

In order to achieve this goal, we have:• Programmed two jam packed conference days where attendees can choose

between three concurrent streams;

• Reduced conference registration fees to encourage even greater attendance ;

• Introduced a new online submission system to attract the best presentations from enterprise service management innovators and practitioners;

• Recruited over 50 volunteers to help review and shape presentations and shepherd the speakers to achieve the highest possible standard of presentations;

• Sourced a range of dynamic keynote speakers;

• Reduced expo space to ensure participating sponsors receive the exposure and attention they deserve.

We are certain that our 18th conference is set to be the most successful yet, in terms of its relevance, vibrancy and attendance figures. It is therefore with great pleasure and confidence that we invite you to associate your brand with ours as a Service Management 2015 sponsor. SERVICE MANAGEMENT 2015 – SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES 5

This year, itSMF Australia’s annual national conference, Service Management 2015, will move to a 2-day conference program. The streamlined program will feature 50+ speakers across three concurrent sessions on the Thursday and Friday, with a pre-conference workshop day to be held on the Wednesday.

Another major innovation in 2015 is the program design process, which will be led by and for the most engaged members of our extensive community.

The conference program has been drawn from an impressive pool of abstracts, using an anonymous online submission system. In 2015, submissions were open to all ITSM professionals, regardless of whether they are a current itSMFA member or not.

Abstracts were assessed and selected by a volunteer committee of ITSM practitioners. These 50 dedicated Reviewers, provided valuable feedback and suggestions that helped to shape a well balanced and comprehensive conference program with an emphasis on hot topics in the ITSM domain.

The final conference program was compiled by the experts in the Program Committee, and features a diverse range of keynote speakers and specialist presentations by professionals from across the international and Australian Service Management community.

Service Management 2015 will focus on Building Customer Value.

This year’s theme reflects a major shift in the ITSM industry’s focus from tech- to people-oriented frameworks. The two day conference will feature a thought-provoking range of sessions that pivot on the theme of Building Customer Value, gathered under four content streams:

Aligning Business and IT in the EnterpriseHow can big organisations harness service management to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing environment? How can you ensure that your IT and ITSM capability is aligned to the business strategies and goals of your organisation and your customers’ organisation? This stream will focus on how ITSM can build enterprise value both within the IT department and beyond.

People, Culture, Community, CapabilityHow do you get the best out of people? Understand why people are at the heart of your ITSM capability and contribution. Fostering a positive service culture and community is an integral part of ensuring you can deliver on service promises to your organisation and customers. This stream will tackle the challenges of change management.

Building SM FoundationsHow does ITSM underpin service delivery? Assure your service delivery capability through adoption and alignment with good ITSM foundations and practice, including formal and informal frameworks, methods, standards and guidelines.

SM InnovationDigital disruption is identifying all sorts of new ways of approaching IT delivery. How are organisations applying emerging frameworks in harmony with more traditional approaches to achieve business outcomes? How can you maximise the synergies between ITIL and DevOps? How can a focus on DevOps deliver agility, speed to market and innovation?

The nature of each session will vary greatly, from interactive workshops, to case study presentations, and panel discussions – all aimed at developing and promoting best practice in ITSM and educating tomorrow’s leaders.

Over the last 17 years, itSMF Australia has established its annual conference as the preeminent learning and networking opportunity for the Australian Service Management industry. The Service Management 2015 Conference marks the beginning of a new phase of growth for this landmark event. The refreshed submission and review system and people-oriented theme detailed above will produce a program that is more expansive than ever in its conceptual reach but streamlined to deliver a coherent experience for all attendees.

The promotion for Service Management 2015 will build on this foundation of success and harness the energy gained by its new inclusive approach with a comprehensive cross channel marketing campaign, featuring:• A brand new and easy to navigate conference website that will put sponsor logos and information directly in front of all conference participants. Traffic to the website

will be boosted through a series of digital and social media campaigns.

• A targeted digital and postal direct mail campaign, utilising both itSMF Australia and organiser SlatteryIT’s extensive databases, as well as those of partner organisations and associations.

• A “word-of-mouth” network harnessing the passionate energy of the more than 50 volunteer reviewers, who will spread the word through their personal connections with meetup groups, enterprise, and government.
