A Brief Overiview of Organisation and Event

Mahak Charity Foundation

The Society to Support Children Suffering from Cancer, also known as

MAHAK, was set up in 1991 as a non-governmental and non-profit

organization. It has been registered under number 6567 of the Social Affairs

department for NGO activities at the Ministry of Interior in the Islamic

Republic of Iran. In the past two decades, the organization has attracted a

vast public support and fulfilled a great part of its mission which is to support

children with cancer, reduce the child mortality rate and create an appropriate

environment that empowers families who have children with cancer.|It is

significant to be mentioned that MAHAK has gained a consultative status in

the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). To recognize and

accomplish the strategic Millennium Goals set by the United Nations. As for

the organizational standards, a major achievement of MAHAK was gaining the

Socit Generale de Surveillance (SGS) Verified Certificate of NGO

Benchmarking in November 2007. The Society was the first non-governmentalorganization in the Middle East to attain such a certificate.

MAHAK is particularly responsible for accomplishing the fourth goal, the

reduction of child mortality rate, which is in the domain of its activity. In order

to achieve such humanitarian goals before 2015, collaboration among the

sister organizations is crucial. As a result, MAHAK is also engaged in

recognizing and accomplishing the eighth Millennium Goal. This goal calls for

initiating a global partnership for development. MAHAKs efforts in developing

partnerships with other organizations in combating child cancer have been

extremely successful. The "love of humanity" is our motivation and it is

integrated in MAHAK's slogan of "Help us and let us help you. During the

past two decades, the organization has successfully built a Highly Specialized

Hospital & Research Center in Pediatric Cancer called MAHAK and managed

to treat over 17,400 children.

Mahak Charity Annual Golf Tournament

The 20th Annual Mahak Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Thursday,

September 5th, 2012 on the Masters Course at Enghelab Club in Tehran,

participate in this competition is open to public and there is no age limit for

participants. It should be noted that the funds and revenue which obtained

through this sport competition, will help us to continue providing much-

needed budgets for essential health care affairs, accommodation and welfare

for sick children and their families and extending the foundations remedial

centres and their daily costs.

The purpose of this information package is to request your participation in our

event as a Presenting Sponsor (300,000,000 IRR), Platinum Sponsor

(200,000,000 IRR), Gold Sponsor (150,000,000 IRR), Silver Sponsor

(100,000,000 IRR), or Bronze Sponsor (50,000,000 IRR). Associated benefits

include name recognition in print materials, on-site signage and

complimentary foursomes. Should you be unable to attend we are pleased to

offer you the unique opportunity to be a Mahak Sponsor (20,000,000 IRR andup cash donation only) for which you are eligible to receive a full charitable

tax receipt. Individual foursomes may also be purchased for 2,800,000 IRR.

In addition to raising critical funds for The charity foundation , the golf

As the past, Mahak foundation plans to use the proceeds from this

event to provides some parts of its budget needs related to remedial

operations and current costs of its own hospital and accommodation

for the companions of patients who are from poor families.
