The Wesley Glen Employee Campaign teed off on April 1, and ended with a “Putt Fore Puffs” employee celebration on April 30, 2015.

We exceeded our goal of $15,000...raising a total of $20,434!During our wrap-up celebration we enjoyed lunch, a few swings of the putter, and outrageously good cream puffs. The cream puff eating contests were the highlights of the day! Kudos to Dave Swartz for winning the first round, and to Phil VanWalsen for winning the second round -- against a bunch of girls! And, congratulations to the competition winners. We are immensely proud of our Wesley Glen family of employees! And we are proud to forward these funds to our beloved

residents to enhance their quality of life. It feels good to give back to them... they give so much to us every single day.

The Guild at Wesley Glen held its first fundraiser for 2015: the “Taste of Derby” celebration on Saturday, May 2nd.

Approximately 70 guests enjoyed great Derby food prepared by Wesley Glen’s Dining Services, including the traditional Derby pie and cool Mint Juleps. Contests were held for the “Best Dressed” and “Most

Creative Hat.” Raffle tickets were sold and Derby prizes awarded to the winners. The highlight of the event was watching the Kentucky Derby on the large screen and cheering for our favorite horses. There were also several silent auction items offered. Emcee Mark Palmer rounded up a group of kazoo players and led a delightful rendition of “My Old Kentucky Home.”

Save the DateThe next fundraiser for

the Guild will be “Pancakes with Santa” on November 14th. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be present for

photographs and our Dining Services will be flipping pancakes for your enjoyment. Hope to see you there. Details coming in early November.

MembershipTo join the Guild at Wesley Glen, please see Hazel Augsuburger, WG Resident, or by visiting the front desk. Brochures are also available throughout the campus.
