POW-WOWS!

The Pow-wow dance is celebrated in spring. The government told the dancers to come and show there dances. The Pow-wow word means spiritual leader. The Pow-wow dance is danced in a football field or a gym. They wear really fancy dresses and suits, that are very colorful!!!

THE MANITOU STONE!

In 1585 Thomas Harroit made the first glossary for an Algonquian language. In some Algonquian traditions, they believed the term Gitche manitou is used to refer the great spirit. They celebrate the salmon run. A pow –wow is celebrated almost every week of spring. They celebrate national university day and they get calls each year from family and friends wanting time for a reminder about loved ones, new dancers and to recognize the leaders and to honour the elders and veterans.
