SPENCE CATES SUPERINTENDENT Spence began working in petrochemical construction as a rodman for one of the layout crews in the Exxon refinery in Baytown, Texas. After working in 4 chemical plants and one power plant, Spence accepted a position as a Field Engineer where he was later promoted to project Engineer, promoted again to Assistant Superintendent and then finally Superintendent. He has experience in working on a various of projects including universities, prisons, schools and government. Spence accepted a position with Harvey for the Methodist Research Institute. As the Superintendent, Spence is responsible for everyone working on-site, safety, scheduling, budget and quality control.
