Expecting benefit of those feature

Admission Block Redirection

Admission Block Redirection

Admission block redirection can redirect RRC-connections or Speech

calls, that are blocked by admission control in a cell,

to GSM or to another frequency. By this it is expecting that some

problem on accessibility of voice, when data traffic is increased to

be solved.

CE capacity for HSDPA Smartphone

Channel Element capacity for HSDPA Smartphones

Reducing consumptions of uplink channel element, in this form there will be need less capacity license.

Speech and 0 kbpsPacket Data

Speech & 0 kbpsPacket Data

Improve voice performance, better data resources utilization. In case of no data transferred, to be used speech

without consumption resources on data.

Speech 12.2 kbpsand HSDPA

Interactive 384/HSRAB combination

Conv. CS Speech + PSInteract. (16/HS)

Improve voice performance. Less consumption of resources. Current RAB combination with HSDPA is only speech + 64/HS. So it will be possible to handle speech with less speed on uplink. Only Conv. CS Speech + PS Interact. (16/HS) will be tested.

Conv. CS Speech + PSInteract. (128/HS)

Conv. CS Speech + PSInteractive 384/HS

Speech + EUL/HSSpeech 122 kbps and HSPA PS Interactive RAB Combination

It will be test if this feature improve voice performance when is

combined speech + HSPA.

EUL 2ms SoftCongestion Soft Congestion of 2 ms EUL users

2ms EUL users consumed high resources of channel element. In case of

congestion it is expected those users to be moved to 10ms, which consume

less resources.

Activation of features• Each feature will be tested separately• RNC license file will be upgraded• Based on request from Access Network, feature state of testing feature will be activated by Mobile Core

• Feature activation will be during the midnight. First impact will be checked during that night.

• If there is negative impact on performance, test feature will be immediately rolled back.

• There is no risk due to testing those feature.

• There is expecting only positive impact.

• On Ericson documentation there is no mention any negative impact.

• After activation of feature, CE capacity for HSDPA Smartphone, Che utilization has been reduced on downlink for 20% and in uplink for 10%.
