Bottoming TapWidely used in machine oper ations to complete a thread in a

bottom of a hole. On the shaft of the tap it will state if it is NF

(Fine ) or NC (Cour se) threads as well as the size.





Plug TapUsed to cut threads in

machine oper ations. The tapered for m gr adually cuts the

threads in the hole. On the shaft of the tap it will state if it is NF(Fine ) or NC (Cour se) threads as well as the size.





Tap Wrench / Handle ³T´ type tap wrenches have an adjustable chuck. A

simple handle will have a V shape that clampsonto the tap.





SAE (NF) DieUsed to cut Society of Automotive Engineers of

National Fine (NF)Threads on bolts.





USS (NC) DieThe die cuts the male thread of a bolt or r od. USS (United

Tube Flaring kitUsed to mak e f lared ends for soft tempered tubing. Ty pically in Br ak e,

air conditioning and power steering systems.





Tubing CutterTighten the handle until the cutting disc touches the tubing then spin and

gr adually tighten handle as spinning until disc cuts thr ough tubing. Too

much pressure on the handle may cause the cutting wheel to break.

degree bends. Bender may be designated for tubing or

rigid conduit.





Compression Gauge / TesterThe gauge tells you the compression in the combustion cylinder of a

vehicle. The br ass threaded end usually is adaptable to sever al diff erent

sizes and threads into the spar k plug hole located in the cylinder head.

Ranges f r om 0 to 300 pounds per square inch.

table using clamps.





Expansion or Adjustable Reamer

Used for reaming piston pin holes, k ing pin holes,

holes for water pump bushings, valve stem guides

and other precision reaming jobs.
