Red wines from Italy are some of the most age-worthy and widely reconized wines of the world. We take pride sharing the classics as well as introducing some that may offer an experience unlike ever before.
Known as being one the most terroir-rich regions, Piemonte can deliver a true sense of place within a glass.
Often noted as being the Queen of Italian wine, Barbaresco is famous for its ability to showcase the beauty and finesse of Nebbiolo by having softer tannins than Barolo with more perfume-like aromatics.
With Barbaresco being the Queen, Barolo is undoubtedly the King of Italian wine by showing off the brut strength of Nebbiolo. Look for great concentration of fruit with extreme depth and seemingly infinite length.
ValtellinaSome of the most interesting red wines are found within the steep terraced vineyards in this rugged mountainous land.
Nino Negri, a pioneer in the difficult wine growing region, not only succeeds in producing a beautiful expression of Nebbiolo, but also creates a benchmark of quality within.
