The 12kW rectifier manufactured in Australia, China and India by companies including Exicom, Com10 and HFCL.
Today it is still in production and provides widespread service.
A new company, Rectifier Technologies Pacific Pty. Ltd. (RTP), is formed to focus on bringing innovative telecom power technology to all corners of the globe via technology licensing.
Patented developments in “Lossless Snubbers” are incorporated in a new
50A rectifier targeted at the difficult electrical environments of China and India.
RTP products gain acceptability for ruggedness in the Chinese market
A compact 100A rectifier described at INTELEC, in The Hague, Netherlands, sets a new standard for large central office power systems providing 10,000A within only five 19” racks.
Prestigious Australian Design Award for new generation of 25A rectifiers.
These products became popular in explosive growth of wireless networks in the following years
A “Lossless Active Clamp for Secondary Circuits” is patented and provides new levels of power efficiency
A project sponsored by AusIndustry of the Australian Government, results in development of a module that is integrated into a range of PowerShelves and highlighted at the INTELEC conference & exhibition in Berlin. Current customers include Vivo Brazil for their expanding wireless networks.
Why Switch Mode?Why Switch Mode?
Switch Mode power supplies use an internal control circuit to rapidly switch power transistor on and off in order to stabilize output voltage or current
Benefits:
Size & Weight: Higher frequencies mean smaller transformers and therefore smaller systems
AC-DC Conversion Efficiency: Ideally 100% efficiency. Typical values are >95%
Versatile Output Voltage: Can be higher, lower or even negative to the input voltage
Power Factor: Higher Power Factor ensures more efficient operation
Facts:
Switched Mode based rectifiers can be upto 1/10th the size and weight of Thyristor based rectifiers
With our Switch Mode Rectifiers, you don’t need redundant systems. You only need redundant rectifiers – Saves space and money
The RT4F-220V/12A is a switched mode rectifier/charger module designed to provide up to 12A of output current into a 220V nominal system. This charger has been designed to be used in conjunction with a battery to provide an uninterruptible DC power system. The low noise and high reliability make it ideally suited to industrial applications including switch tripping and emergency lighting. Up to five chargers can fit in a single magazine and large systems can be configured using a single control and supervisory unit (MiniCSU).
Salient Features:
• 3 phase rectifier module
• Available in 48V/110V flavours
