John has been the editor of The Parksville Qualicum Beach News since September of 2012. "I'm honoured to be part of this Day in the Life project," said Harding, "Because, truth be told, as a photographer, I'm a heck of a writer."

Peter McCully has been a broadcaster and publisher on both coasts and has owned a newspaper and run a small advertising agency along the way. He trained as a TV cameraman at 16.
