KATHAK DANCE PROGRAM ON 11-23-02, Organized by UPAMA –DIWALI in NJ Tora -Tukra- This dance sequence portrays rhythmic patterns and expressive aspects that
convey a sense of pure joy with a brilliant display of footwork and pirouettes. The tora, and tukra are pure dance patterns, according to the varying degree of the complexity of the rhythmic patterns. It concludes with musical instruments and dance improvising together in a mood of joy.
Kaahe Chedho Mohe: This dance has a modern approach in music and dance. From the well known movie, Devdas, this Thumri highlights love, playfulness, longing and beauty between Radha and Krishna. Its swift hand movements describe its feel of bliss.
