目標となるサーティファイのWord3級検定試験は幅広い文書作成機能を習得しているだけではなく、文字入力の量も多いので、入力のスキルを上げることも重要である。そのためにWordの内容に入る前にタイプクイックソフトを使ってタッチメソッド(キーボードを見ない文字入力)のトレーニングをする。テキスト「30時間でマスター Word2016」を使って一般的なビジネス文書や表の作成方法をオブジェクト(画像や図形)の編集方法を学習し、問題集「2016対応 Word 文書処理技能認定試験 3級問題集」を使ってより高度な機能の習得と検定対策を学習する。また、検定対策の一環として客観的に自分の解答が正しいか判断できるようになるため自己採点を行う。
