SPE accepts the following file formats: JPG, PNG, GIFMaximum file size: 40K (30K for newsletters)Note: Smaller file sizes ensure your ad will load quickly and be seen by customers

Animation in AdsAnimation in your ad is allowed for all SPE digital opportunities with the exception of the SPE homepage and all newsletters.

• Be judicious. SPE reserves the right to decline an ad if it has too much movement, vibration, flashing, etc., so as to create a distraction for users.

• Use the industry standard GIF89a file format for animated ads.

• No scripts, iframes, Flash files, or SVG images are allowed.

SPE reserves the right to decline any ad it believes is not appropriate for our audience.

Digital Ad Specifications

Tracking Information• Your Sales Manager can provide you with tracking reports on impressions and click through

data from our ad server.

• You have the option to include a 1 × 1 tracking pixel hosted on your own server Requirements for use of tracking pixels.

• The file must be a transparent 1 × 1 pixel GIF image. You host it on your external-facing server and provide us with the URL to the image. We strongly suggest a different pixel/URL for each ad.

• You will receive tracking information via your server logs or your server-side metrics application (Google or other), which you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing.

• Please note that SPE respects Do Not Track (DNT) settings. If a customer has set their browser to DNT, then the pixel will not be shown and you will not receive information about that customer’s impressions of your ad.

• As a result of DNT, impressions from your pixel may differ from the reports from SPE’s ad server.

Deadline for Supplying Ad Materials• Ads and all related materials are due at least 3 business days before your ad is to begin

appearing on the site.

• Delays by you in supplying materials mean that your ad will go up within 3 business days of when materials are received and run through the end of the term specified in the contract. SPE will not extend the term of your contract to cover any days missed at the beginning of the period due to delays on your part.
