WHITE WINES
Blends
Blended whites are always a very reliable style of wine for all occasions.
Sauvignon Blanc Semillon are at the forefront, a magical little blend if there
ever was.

St Hallett’s Barossa Valley Poachers Blend 6.5 / 26.0
Pikes Clare Valley Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 7.5 / 32.0
Sauvignon Blanc
Sauvignon Blancs are light to medium bodied dry whites with particular tropical fruit salad type characters on the palate. The NZ versions are very pungent on the nose and full of flavour, whereas the Australian versions are similar but much more delicate. Either way you will not go wrong. Very good all round wines that suit seafood, chicken, pork and salads.

Rieslings are the greatest of Australian white wines. Light to medium bodied
they can be dry to semi dry. They are the perfect wine to have with fish
dishes, in fact really with anything you are eating at the time.

Chardonnay
Chardonnays are a much misunderstood variety. They are a medium to full bodied dry white, full of flavour and character. An ideal choice to have with poultry, veal, pork, rabbit, fish and pastas that feature cream &/or butter and mushrooms.
Glass / Bottle
Yellow Tail Chardonnay 5.5 / 22.0
Peter Lehmann Barossa Valley Chardonnay 6.5 / 26.0

WHITE WINES
Varietal
Varietal whites are becoming very popular especially the Pinot Gris and
Pinot Grigio grape variety. The same grape is made in two distinct wine
styles. The Pinot Gris is typically made in the French style, that is, it is picked
later and riper, making them richer and fuller bodied. Pinot Grigio is made in
the Italian style, and is usually picked earlier than Pinot Gris, and as a result
it is generally lighter, drier and crisper on the palate. The other varietals
offer flavours and characters that will complement the menu to the fullest.
Bon Appétit!

Sweeter Style
Sweeter style whites are becoming very popular, especially the Moscato
style. They are lower in alcohol content and as such are achieving a rise in
popularity. Do not be put off by the sweetness as they do compliment food
that has a lot of spice and chilli. Best drunk very cold’ the Moscato is the
sweetest and the other wines on the list are “less sweet”.

ROSÉ WINES
Rose is a lighter style red wine that has had minimal contact with the skins
at the time of crushing. They can vary in style from very dry to sweet. Best
served chilled, they are suited to foods that have lots of spicy flavour.
