Present tense can be shown in two ways
1. the verb will be conjugated normal. Example: Ella habla 2. is ….ing verbs Example: Yo estoy tocando la guitarra Yo estoy dormiendo
You show past tense in Spanish by adding one of the following to the end of the verb instead of its usual conjugation:
é, aste, ó, amos, asteis, aron Examples: yo compré, tú compraste, el
ella o ud. compró, nosotros compramos*, vosotros comprasteis, ellos ellas o uds. compraron
* with the past tense amos you have to use context clues to tell whether its past or present tense. Like Words like ayer would tell you its past tense.
To show future tense you must say “ir a” (going to) conjugated before the infinitive verb
Examples: Ella va a oir la música. Yo voy a comprar a la tienda Tú vas a hablar en el telefono Ellos van a limpiar la casa Nosotros vamos a jugar al tenís
