SpagoBI offers powerful graphical data visualization tools, to build interactive cockpits
SpagoBI Server analytical engines – Interactive Cockpits
2 engines
Composed document: powerful specific engine to build highly interactive cockpits that aggregate heterogeneous documents
In-memory: a tool to increase performances and interactivity, experiencing a new analytical pattern, based on incremental filters (available through 2012)
SpagoBI offers powerful graphical data visualization tools, to manage KPI hierarchical models
1 engine
KPI: powerful specific engine to create, manage, view and browse KPI hierarchical models, through different methods, calculation rules, thresholds and alarm rules
Dashboard: SWF visualization engine to display real-time views of data
SpagoBI Server analytical engines – Real Time
SpagoBI offers a specific engine to produce real-time monitoring consoles, to be used in Business applications or in BAM (Business Activity Monitoring) processes
SpagoBI offers specialized components that follow the common devices interaction touch-screen paradigm, conceived for an efficient off-line workability
SpagoBI offers a specific engine allowing to automatically create organized report dossiers
1 engine
Analytical dossier: allows to enrich shared dossiers with notes and information, posted by users to comment data. A collaboration workflow manages the dossier components to be sent to users in order to receive their notes.
SpagoBI offers a component that allows to manage customized processes, running in the background and/or starting at a scheduled time
1 engine
CommonJ: it includes pre-defined processes supporting the execution of shell commands (Linux/Windows). This engine is integrated in the Console, which allows to start and stop processes directly from the detail section.
SpagoBI Server operational engines – External Processes
SpagoBI offers a component that allows users to take advantage of write-back functionalities on the database. It allows them to modify the table data through a highly intuitive user interface, whose behavior can be set by means of simple configuration parameters, using pre-defined models available within the platform.
SpagoBI Server operational engines – Master Data Manage ment
1 engine
QbE: a specific functionality named “Registry”, included in this engine, allows to work on table data
SpagoBI Meta is the module specifically focused on metadata management and inquiry.
It manages both business metadata, enabling the user to know more about the data under evaluation, and technical metadata allowing the administrator to know where the data are taken from, to provide automatic documentation or to make impact analyses.
SpagoBI SDK is the specific tool used for the integration of the services provided by the server.
It is used by SpagoBI Studio in order to allow users to download/upload their analytical documents from/onto the server. It aims both at the integration of the documents, thanks to a wide range of services available through web service, and at the publication of SpagoBIdocuments in an external portal.
The services available through web service are:
Data Set: to receive the data sets, defined in SpagoBI, and their respective metadata
Data Source: list of connections to the different databases
Engine: list and details of the engines, defined in SpagoBI Server
Map catalogue: list and details of the maps, available on the server
Analytical Documents: to recover the document list and the respective details, to manage templates, to create and execute documents, and to display the results in a PDF format.
SpagoBI Analytics are applications that full exploit the potentials of the suite to meet the market needs.
They are developed by market sector (i.e. e-government, financial risk management), by subject (i.e. competitive intelligence, service intelligence, geo-marketing) or by product, as a specific analytical component.
Analytics are composed of a data model and pre-defined analysis.
A wide range of analytical tools and engines proving various
solutions for each analytical area
