Research and Development
Spaeda promote cultural and creative entitlement through research and action research. We lead a variety of projects to test new ways of working in partnership and leave a legacy for children and young people. We are always delighted to hear from schools that have great ideas to help us take this area of our work forward
InspirED – Arts Education Network The Spaeda schools membership scheme has come to a close and has been replaced by InspirED, an enhanced subscription service. InspirED is a unique partnership between Somerset Art Works, Somerset Film, SPAEDA and Take Art, bringing the skills and expertise of arts and media professionals direct to Somerset schools
Sound Foundation Somerset Spaeda are part of the delivery group for the Somerset Music Education Hub. Its mission is to provide inspirational, progressive and high quality music education for all children and young people in Somerset. Spaeda creates the bulletin, develops the website and leads training and research projects to reduce barriers to music education
Artsmark Marketing Research Commissioned by Trinity College, Spaeda led research and consultation with schools across England on the perceived barriers and benefits of Artsmark
Alchemy - Regional Arts Award Pilot with our InspirED partner, Somerset Art Works, we are taking part in a Regional Pilot to find out how best to support young people to achieve the Arts Award at Gold level
Short Breaks Pilot Again with our InspirED partner, Somerset Art Works, we have tested the benefit of creative activity as a form of respite and relaxation for families with disabled children. Through InspirED are exploring ways of sustaining this valuable work
