under $10,000 annually.Or

If you think you may be near that threshold, you can use a quote bid to avoid

split purchasing. When using this purchasing method, be sure to get a

minimum of 3 good quotes.

Convenience may also come at a price. The 89 cent lamp you send your staff

member to pick up locally will also have an employee's hourly wages and State owned vehicle mobilization costs

associated with the purchase. How much does the 89 cent lamp cost after

factoring in these associated costs?

Bargains usually come at a price! Be sure that you are buying a lamp or ballast

that is designed for your intended application.

CFL lamps may not be the best choice for outside locations, they are slow to start in cold

weather. Certain LED lamps are not dimmable. Others

may have orientation restrictions ( may not be suitable for use in a lamp facing down position,

or may not be useable in shrouded fixtures because of a lack of airflow in the fixture.

Check the facts before you buy.
