Located along the Salem River, Historic Salem is a community filled with a rich history, amazing cultural resources, impressive architecture, and several antique shops not to mention great ca-sual dining from authentic Italian to soul food!
Home to Mannington Meadows, Salem River has been cited by New Jersey Monthly as “the perfect destination to spot local wildlife” and “one of the top areas in the state for water-fowl diversity.” Enjoy a breath of fresh air and connect with nature on the viewing platform overlooking an expansive marsh along Mannington Creek.
Inspired by the old wagonhouse on the Brown family farm, the journey started with some land leased from the family farm and has grown to 10 acres of grapes under cultivation, producing 7,000 cases of wine per year. The winery offers private events, monthly dinners and “The Barnyard Bistro” for visitors to enjoy.
