SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT
•Present in all provinces•Conducted training programmes in various provinces and ongoing development taking place in the following province in the Northern Cape and North West Province•Over 200 schools playing table tennis•Conducted coaching courses and umpire training for referees.•Ongoing training of educators through SATTB Coaching Programme.•Over 100 Tables for Table Tennis given to schools since 2007.

Conducted Talent Identification during 2010 National Schools Championships 16 Players identified Training Camp organised for the identified players

SCHOOLS COMPETITION
• Successfully hosted the 2010 National Schools Championships in Cape Town
( U 13 – U16), 261 participants
• Some regions have leagues playing while some have no formal leagues due to transport resources.
• Most of the clubs are participating at club level, because it is organized.

• Schools without formal leagues are playing challenges between each other.

EQUIPMENT
With the assistance of SRSA and Lottery as partners has been able to support our schools sports development. In other cases our clubs has been used as the platform to kick start development.
- Over 100 Table Tennis Tables to schools since 2006- Over 1000 Rackets and balls to schools countrywide
WAYFORWARD
• Continue with development in schools• Enhance current schools programs• Continue with equipment support to schools• Continue with National Schools
Championships• Election of Structures from basic to National - Availability of funding to support such an exercise
